It's now time to reveal the winners of this year's PCM.daily awards! If you've been around last year, you'll know that we've seen some of the tighest votes in the awards history, resulting in a total of 4 tied categories, and this statistic has repeated this time around, as well. However, we have a new first too: a three-way tie, which has never happened in the awards' history!
There is the usual mixture of defending champions and new winners, congratulations to you all. Well done to everyone else who received nominations, and thanks to all who voted and took the time to send nominations, in order to make the voting possible.
The winners are revealed below, and I have also posted the full results into each thread in the Awards subforum.

Management Game
Manager of the Year: SotD (35%). Runner-up: Shonak (26%).
SotD wins the title of best Manager outright after sharing the title with 3-times winner roturn last year, both thanks to his team's success, but more importantly to his great insights and activity.
New Manager of the Year: Croatia14 (69%). Runner-up: DaveTwoBob (21%).
Croatia joined the game only this year, but his ideas have always looked clear and straight, and his activity and commitment have been one of the highest.
Team of the Year: Strava (32%). Runner-up: Evonik - Elko (29%).
Strava and Evonik's reasons for topping the rankings are similar, as both come from lower divisions and are making great impressions in PCT and PT respectively. The cobblers' team narrowly edges out last year's victors.
Reporter of the Year: roturn (59%). Runner-up: Croatia14 (30%).
roturn has cranked out the most reports this year, keeping the pace high as ever, and doing so with his trademark efficiency.

Non-PT Race of the Year: Tour de Pologne and Tour of Vancouver (25% each). Best Team HQ of the Year: Strava, Team I-Gen - Festina and Valio - DeLaval (26% each).
First ever time 3 nominations take an award because of a tie. A well-deserved award for all 3 for sure, though, thanks to their original and consistent updates.

zuff eventually earns himself a very well deserved victory thanks to the very well done format he's been proposing for a couple of years now.

Second straight victory for Matt in the 'big' Daily award category.
New Member of the Year: Aquarius97 (86%). Runner-up: RadInconsistent (14%).

Most Improved Member: Croatia14 (38%). Runner-up: MARSUPILAMI (25%).

Admin of the Year: roturn (43%). Runner-up: matt17br (39%).

Most Missed Member: Ian Butler (53%). Runner-up: Jesleyh (20%).
Ian gave his definitive goodbye to Daily just a couple of months ago, but his absence is clearly already heavily missed. Not the only award he snatches, either! Jesleyh is 2nd.
Other Awards
Fantasy Betting Champion: Ollfardh (29,000 PCM$). Runner-up: Strydz (26,015 PCM$).
Ollfardh has gained the title by winning only 9 of his 40 attempted bets, but by almost always winning big when it happened. Strydz is second for the second year straight.
Fantasy Cycling Season Champion: jseadog1 (8114 points). Runner-up: trekbmc (7954 points).
jdog takes the first title as Fantasy Cycling Season Champion, after a long, hard-fought race for the title, where several changes at the top position followed one another.
And that ends the awards! Congratulations to all the winners. As usual, credit goes to emmea for creating the signature design used. |
