Man-Game Madness
The Tour de France is in full force! The most prestigious of ProTour races has just 4 stages to ride now. The GC battle is finely poised with a few riders still clinging onto hopes of the Maillot Jaune (a few more if they can do a Landis). The Maillot Vert is as tight as the lycra the contenders wear and could go to any of the Top5 i they work hard enough. The KoM, Youth and Team competitions are less open but as we know in cycling... anything can happen!
Fancy a different challenge? The PCT teams took to fighting on the American cobbles with the Tour of the Battenkill. It wasn't the best of races for the local fans with their big hope dissapointing, and allowing the European powerhouses to dominate proceedings. Quiet week for the CT squads as they wait for the calendar space around the major July races.
New Year, New News?
It's safe to say the Weekly News hasn't been the most weekly of weekly news. But New Year and a perfect time to revamp the concept and bring back a certain state of regularity. The Weekly News will be back on a consistent basis, a bi-weekly basis. Yep, there will be a Weekly News every two weeks! All we need is for you, the members, to keep doing things on the site to generate news.
Thread of the Week
A number of future thread of the week winners opened this week with the new year. Other Races 2017 and Womens Cycling 2017 appear on the site. But they are new and as yet waiting for the season to really kick off. So Thread of the Week for the first time in 2017 is.... In The Year 2017... This is the thread for your 2017 cycling predictions, tell us what you think will happen this year. And come back in December to see how clever you really are. |
