Cycling Explosion
It's the first Grand Tour of the year, what did you expect to be the big focus of the week? We kicked off the week in a sad affair with a string of accidents and illnesses, which were well discussed in the News in May thread which did cover a number of other news stories as well, not all doom and gloom. Related is the ever increasing interest in the Transfers 16/17 thread as more team and rider news and rumors emerge.
Then this Friday it all kicked off for the Giro d'Italia. Giro d'Italia 2016 - Week 1 (6th - 15th May) will keep you more than up to date on every single days action from start to finish, as well as pretty much constantly in between. We are basically your #1 source for the Giro, don't bother with Twitter or Eurosport, you just need PCM.Daily for considered, measured, insightful and on-topic updates.
Roll Up, Roll Up!
The ICL is right about to conclude it's 2016 season, and what does that mean? Sign-Ups time!!! Go to the ICL17 - Signup and join in. With the Man-Game on hiatus the ICL is your best chance to get that fix of role-play managerial stuff. It's gone from strength to strength each season and already is on target to be the biggest season thus far. Stop reading this and go sign-up. Seriously. Go. Stop reading, i'm not going to say anything better. Sign-up. Now. NOW. Why are you still here? GO!
Thread of the Week
At a couple of points this week i thought the choice would be clear. Three times i was shown to be wrong for various reasons and now i've had to go digging. Sometimes when you dig you find pure gold. Great Heroes of cycling is my thread of the week. It stayed away from Armstrong, just, and delivered a range of interesting and informative stories on some rather unknown riders. Well worth a read in the thread, and then more than worth expanding your knowledge of cyclings illustrious past. Plus it shows how to present your opposing views with dignity.
A Final Note
