Just like last time, I will tell you a bit about the features in more detail. V0.5 features Obviously the V0.5(and V0.8) features are all implemented. You can find the V0.5 features here. The download is an all-in, so you don’t need to install the V0.5 before you install the V1.0. The following things are all stuff that’s new and/or adjusted in V1.0. Teams We have again extended the amount of teams in the database. We have added a lot of new teams, some of which have never been in any PCMdaily DB. The total of teams is now 113 teams, of which 10 are U23 teams. We have retained the focus on Western Europe and the US, but there are also new teams from Scandinavia and Southern Europe. Stages One of the main things V1.0 changed but V0.5 didn’t is the race calendar. The PCMdaily DB V1.0 adds more than 90 new races, meaning there is a lot more for the user to play. This mainly concerns the smaller races that Cyanide missed. Continental careers and Pro Cyclist mode will be much more enjoyable and will offer much more variety. Beside just adding races, we have also taken a look to the races already there. Quite some outdated races(mostly Cyanide-added) were either adjusted or removed and many race categories were modified. But there’s more. This database also adds an enormous amount of variants to your career mode. Every WT classic has at least an alternative route, every WT stage-race has at least 3 extra routes and every GT at least 10. Furthermore there’s also plenty of new routes for NCs, WCs and other races! Stats Of course the database will have the post-TdF stats. This means surprises like Gesink and Pauwels will have an upgrade, but also the guys that also impressed us but were less noticeable. But next to the TdF stats there is obviously much more edits. The Daily DB wouldn’t be the Daily DB if we didn’t put much attention to smaller teams as well. Pro Conti and Conti teams will (hopefully) have have the same ‘’stat quality’’ as Pro Tour has. Graphics Improving graphics has always been an important point for the Daily DB. To start with, we have added even more custom sponsors than we had last time, meaning we now have about 600 custom sponsors to choose from. All of those sponsors are HQ! We have also added a lot of custom NC shirts, WC shirts and accessoires to the existing teams, making sure the amount of ‘’ugly’’ generic cyanide jerseys is very limited. Another thing that many users find important is the implementation of all the Jacky Durand sponsorkits. Jacky Durand again did some amazing work this year and we’ve included all of his sponsorkits, meaning that races will have realistic sponsors on the podium and hoardings. On top of that we have also increased the amount of realistic equipment for the teams, with especially a lot of helmets being added to the database. A lot of attention has been paid to them, with the teams getting real frames, wheels and helmets. There’s countless of small things we’ve added graphically, for instance there is a new cool-looking flag pack added to the database. Long-term careers A lot of attention has been paid to enjoyable long-term careers. A lot of young talent with high potential is present in the database, to give them a fair chance on breaking through in later seasons. But we’ve also paid a lot of attention to the regens. The database includes Kentaurus’ new XMLs which makes regen production much more realistic. Also we have modified Sta_region, the bigger cycling regions will now more realistically produce more talents than regions that are less familiar to cycling. However, we do not want to exclude the possibility of a talent from f.e Malaysia to break through so there is still a chance the smaller countries produce a nice talent. We have also altered the chances on certain specialisations per regions, so for instance Venezuela, a mountainous region, will mainly produce climbers and a flat region like Qatar will mainly produce sprinters. The regen names have also been adjusted, so that the new talents that will appear have realistic names. There will be 2 .cdbs. One will have 2014 NCs, which is probably more realistic for careers, considering the career starts at 1 January. The other .cdb will have 2015 NCs, so that f.e Buchmann has the German NC title and Kelderman the NC ITT title. There are no other differences between the .cdbs so it is up to you to choose which one you’d prefer. There are many more new features for you to explore, on top of the V0.5 features.
