Yet another update to the PCM.daily Expansion Pack has now been released - and this time, we're going from V1.x to V2, since this update is pretty much a full conversion of the 2010 DB we made for PCM09.

19 teams and races have been added along with yet another batch of real stages, several new scouting zones, including countries such as Venezuela, China and Iran, the Lithuanian national team has been replaced with the Czech national team, meaning that it's now possible to play with Kreuziger and co. We've also adapted the creation of new riders (thanks, Ruben!) to make it a bit more realistic.

There's also the subject of variants which I'm sure that many of you are interested in, so here goes (these numbers include the 2010 route variants): 5 Tour de France, 5 Giro, 2 Vuelta, 2 Dauphine Libere, 2 Vuelta al Pais Vasco, 2 Tour de Romandie, 2 Österreich Rundfahrt, 2 Paris-Nice, 3 Volta a Portugal, 3 Tour de Suisse, 2 Tour Down Under and lots of World Championship routes. Except for the WC, all the other races are completely new stages.

another very good database guys, well done.

only criticism is that the breakaway riders still don't seem to sprint for intimediate sprints which kind of takes some of the realism out of the game. is there anyway to fix this problem?

When I try to open it it askes me if I want to save or open it. If I click open the box dissapears and nothing happens. Please help

Everything appears to be fine for me, bar some pink boxes instead of flags for certain nations. Iran, Netherlands Antilles, Morocco - quite a few in fact, although all are 'minor' cycling nations. I followed all instructions, and I've installed DBs previously with PCM09 so thought I had the hang of it. Has part of the textures file corrupted during download or extraction perhaps?

ike2112 on 16-11-2010

In fact looking in the GUI/country_flags folder, it seems there isn't a picture file for the nations with the issue - just DDS files for those nations.

CrueTrue on 18-11-2010

The flags and files are there as they should be.

If you're missing flags and scouting zones, you don't have the correct Local.cdb. If you're using patch 1042, you need to download the Local.cdb made specifically for this patch. It's available in the forum.

We recommend using 1041, though.

ike2112 on 19-11-2010

Ah now I had problems with that local file with the 2009 one too, had to delete the whole folder in the end and reinstall.
I've done that with 2010 and it's worked. I guess I must be doing something wrong when I copy the downloaded files across.

Just wondering...why are country flag files for, say Netherlands Antilles only DDS files but New Zealand for example has both a DDS file and a Tga file? And why are there DDS files for nations such as Nicaragua and Solomon Islands, when they do not actually appear in the game at all?

CrueTrue on 22-11-2010

The tga-files are the ones that come with the game. The PCM.daily flag files are in .dds format and 'overwrite' the tga ones in the game.

The flags are a part of a package which come with more flags than what we really need. Didn't bother removing the ones we don't use.

ike2112 on 22-11-2010

Ah right.
Is it just country flags that are like that or other graphics too?
Just thinking I could likely save some space by deleting all the tga files that aren't used...
