I just finnished La Le Fleche Wallone( career mode), and at the moment it should go to the replay-video the game crashed, the PC turned of and restarted itself? (GPU only 44c)
Of course i know that now and then PCM08 and PCM09 will crash. Its anoyiing, but ok.i'm used about this fact.
Now the problem is worse: i can start PCM09, go to saved games, but when i go to my saved game, the screen goes white and i get the wellknown screen: PCM has to shut down...etc....
I was able to start a new career and get into the game...so...thats not the problem, but how can it be that my saved game seems to be corrupt all of the sudden?
There is a backup of each save. Go to the folder of the saves (Look it up in your game if you don't know where it is) and look for a file with a ~ at the end. The beginning of the file name should be the same as your corrupt save. Remove the ~ and try again (Obviously you have to rename or move your corrupt save before). Start the game and try again.
I recommend that you copy your saves from time to time to avoid such problems.
Find your save games folder (OfficialRelease in PCM folder in My Documents) and rename your *.cdb~ to *.cdb and try to load again, if it doesnt help savegame your career is most likely screwed
I`ve learned one thing since I played pcm 06 (lost whole career) ... make a new folder and after EACH STAGE quit game and copy (backup) content from OfficialRelease to new folder somewhere else...
This will help when your last stage crashes and can`t be repaired so you just overwrite everything with files from backed up folder

...its still a great game, but why isn't it developped more stable...in 20 years of gaming this is by far the game with the most crashes i've had.....and thats a shame for such a good game....
