Good evening people!
Which one is recommended the most?
at the moment im downloading the PCM daily pack with names, equipment etc..
Is that the best of those two? or should i rather go for the new one that the french community has made?
Cheers Snuble

The PCM.daily Pack is still in beta and isn't working for career mode (crash on the 31st of May). So if you're planning to start a career, use PCMClub's DB. |

What do you want me to do? I tested twice, two seasons, no problems. Then someone reports a crash on the 31st, I try again, and I have it too. There's no proper reason for the crash, we barely added any data, and yet it still does crash during "season inscription", just like the V3 for PCM08.
PCM sucks at handling new data, obviously, and I'm just as tired of it as you are.
So, I guess, rule #1: Never use a PCM.daily DB until at least a few days after the release. Then you'll know if there's a problem and if it's worth playing with. |

Can you pass the crash day with an editor?

Rule #2: There will always be a patch at most a week after the latest big release.

You can try. It's still GAM_config, same solution as the PCM08 DB, just a different date.
And keep in mind that you can't use Hannes Converter. Need to do it with Advanced Editor which doesn't handle save games very well. |

So the advanced editor for 08 works for the 09 version of the game? Didn't they change the tables this year too? |

Pffff. I don't come here often 'cause it's more simple for me on a french forum but Cruetrue and pcmdaily team has done a great job on earlier db's for 2008. Last 2008 db had many bugs. That one is a BETA. Do you only have a idea of the time it takes to do such a job ???
Good luck Cruetrue ! |

DON'T TRY IT.
I tried it with the beta. It seemed to work....then after a few days the career went to all kinds of hell.

It does work, isso. There's no compatibility issues at all.
And yes, some tables were changed, but the Advanced Editor 'knows' this. |

I am sorry to critisies, but I did not see that it was in beta. If you tested it, it is fine to me, and the you did not have such a good time to test it.
Btw, your stats was quite a lot better then in the OR, so i will just copy your tables

And even if it crashed in "full" version (sh*t happens), be happy that someone like PCMdaily team is doing something like this so we all can enjoy realistic gameplay because dumbf*cks from cyanide couldn`t even get rights on least on 2 kind of real equipment like last year, not to mention Neilstrungs and Owens...
So, all I can say is big THANK YOU for all ppl doing this for FREE, and its just for our enjoyment, think about it... |

Thanx very much for the info.
I am looking forward to the update when it all works, and the job you guys do is admirable.
Ill go for the PCMclub DB now then.

Any projected dates on a FULL release?
BTW, the Beta is actually quite good for being released less than 48 hours after the game came out. As always a few questionable stats, but that stuff is so subjective anyway (the stats are better than cyanides, that's for sure) |

The stats do definitely need a major overhaul. We will tweak a few stats for the final version, but the major job won't be done until the 'big DB' release in a few months time from now.
In terms of the full release, we're awaiting Cyanide's support. There's no logical reason for the 31st of May crash, so we've asked them to look into the issue, and they promised to do so tomorrow. |

Good thing you're not rushing the release of a 'Big DB'. PCM is not worth playing until a big db appears. By then we will have had several patches that all would have been incompatible with started save games.
Thus, no need to realease a big db until after a few patches and no need to start a career until the first major db comes out. More teams, more races. That's the way to go. |

Ive started a career with Milram to see what it is like and to get used to the graphics and positioning of things of the screen in 3D race. |
