There are mostly time-trialists and sprinters in this bunch. One of the notable names is the Kazakh Champion, Fominykh.

Mareczko is the first to finish in 15’32, but that’ll quickly be overcome. Notably by Dillier (13’51), a good time-trialist if not a climber.

Noia beats that: 13’34. Some other time-trial champion are here in Switzerland, among them is the Australian one, Howson. He takes the hot seat: 13’21. It’ll be beaten by Paillot: 13’07.

Nobody should dislodge Paillot from the hot seat too fast, but Mendoza can show his beautiful jersey.
Wait, nevermind what I said: Fraile sets a new best time of13’04. Potocki could at least hope for a good temporary result before the big guns begin their race. He’s 4 seconds back, when Cataford sets the time under 13 minutes: 12’59.
Ioannidis bests that: 12’57.

He’s comfortable in the hot seat at the end of this group.

Schelling is the first of the bunch. He loses 37 seconds, which should allow him to keep his position.

Then comes Frankiny, one minute off the pace, and who might be in danger.

Rachid has a good day, losing only 16 seconds. Maybe enough to climb up some spots.

Vasyliv is 24 seconds off.

Powless expectantly takes the hot seat: 12’54. Though that should not be enough to crack in the top 10.

Cattaneo sets a very good time, only 3 seconds back. It’s good enough for provisional 3rd of the day.

Ranaweera only loses 7 seconds, which must be good too, though he’ll lost one spot to Cattaneo.

Tenorio has good legs and finishes in the same time as Ranaweera. He’ll stay at 9th at worst.

Not the same for Johannessen who, despite only losing 31 seconds, will lose at least 3 spots. He’ll still win the best young rider jersey though.

Padun isn’t really good against the clock (+0’44). He could even get out of the top 10.

It’s also a hard day for Godoy (+0’41). He had a bigger advance though, so he’ll keep his 6th.

He’ll not pass Giannoutsos, who is 20 seconds off. The top 5 seems assured for the Greek.

+0’11 for Rodrigues, who should finish at the foot of the podium.

Olivier will keep his 3rd position, losing 29 seconds to Powless.

Reis is provisional 2nd of the day (+0’03), which is a really good time. He was 20 seconds behind Oomen at the beginning of the day.

+0’08 for Oomen. A nice time, and that should seal his GC victory, barring any unexpected problem tomorrow.
