There are many Glanbia helpers early on the road. And even though Oram is a good time-trialist in his own right, he’ll mainly hope a good day from his leader. He sets a good reference time of 23’06, e.g 14 seconds faster than Quaade.
He’s beaten by Tesfom (23’02), that is, until another Glanbia rider takes the hot seat for 1 second. O'Loughlin finishes in 23’01.
He’ll stay in until the end of the bunch, though Sipos and Daniel seemed, at one point, able to overcome him.

From the bottom of this bunch, Gaspar and Petelin seem to be the one with the biggest to lose, especially against Xandri.
Though he’s the better time-trialist in these 10, Keizer can’t really hope taking 5 ùo,ites to Ablenado or Verschaeve.
On the other hand, Rachid could enter the top 10 against Burke, Munoz or Lemus Davila.

Petelin loses around 1’20 to Xandri. He might keep his spot by nothing. Gaspar does a bit better.
With now a best time of 22’57, Keizer takes the hot seat, waiting for the favorites. Ablenado and Verschaeve weren’t that far off, and they respectively only lose 17 and 31 seconds to the Dutch Champion. On the contrary, Inkelaar loses 1’16 to the Babymetal rider and will drop a spot.
Rachid has a correct time of 23’09, which might allowing him back into the top 10.

Here we are for the top 10! A time of 23’03 sets Ludvigsson in a good position to solidify his top 10, but not enough to pass Burke (23’46), who’ll keep his 9th. Ranaweera does also good, with a time of 22’58, good for temporary 2nd.
Munoz loses 1’35, and will fall back in the GC.
Lemus Davila limits his losses, but he will still lose one spot. Ranaweera is already back to 6th!
But Madrazo holds on to 5th, with a time of 23’13.

Now onto the fight for the podium!
Reis is doing a good time-trial, as he was 2nd in the intermedite chrono… but not behind Keizer, behind the inevitable Powless. The Portuguese takes zthe hot seat with 22’56, but that’s immediately smashed by the American: 22’40. That feels like a 3rd stage win for him!

Only McNulty and Eastman on the road now. They were separated by only 4 seconds at the beginning of the day. At the intermediate chrono, McNulty has a 1 second advantage.

23’03 for McNulty. Waiting for the yellow jersey to finish now…

23’05! Barring spectacular events tomorrow, Eastman will win the Tour of America for mere 2 seconds!
