Welcome to the 14th edition of the Herald Sun Tour where the top CT time trialists get to fight over the GC win. It’s really a fairly straightforward race: four sprint stages, and a long-ish 20 kilometers time trial to decide the GC.
With that said let's look at some of the favourites:
| FL | HI | TT | RS | AC | | FL | HI | TT | RS | AC | Rekita | 72 | 63 | 79 | 73 | 70 | Mottin | 67 | 59 | 77 | 71 | 52 | Sterobo | 70 | 63 | 78 | 69 | 73 | Marchewka | 65 | 60 | 77 | 75 | 64 | Erdenebat | 75 | 65 | 78 | 78 | 64 | Castrillo | 77 | 67 | 76 | 72 | 73 | Cruz | 74 | 62 | 77 | 70 | 68 | Stoenchev | 74 | 68 | 76 | 73 | 62 | Downey | 73 | 67 | 77 | 74 | 72 | Cheyne | 73 | 66 | 76 | 75 | 67 | Oram | 73 | 64 | 77 | 72 | 70 | Archbold | 72 | 61 | 76 | 69 | 73 | Frison | 71 | 67 | 77 | 71 | 65 | Craddock | 71 | 74 | 76 | 75 | 68 | Andersen | 70 | 64 | 77 | 74 | 65 | Archibald | 70 | 64 | 76 | 72 | 67 | Predatsch | 69 | 55 | 77 | 77 | 65 | Laizer | 69 | 57 | 76 | 69 | 68 |
Rekita comes in as the favourite, but he is not leaps and bounds better than the others. Sterobo, a former winner from back in 2018
(Hey, my 1st year in MG ) and Erdenebat are next in line.
Then the Glanbia force of Cruz/Downey/Oram, even if they don't win the race it should be a great scoring outing for their team. Frison, Andersen, Predatsch, Mottin and Marchevka are the other 77 TTers with a good chance to cause to an upset.
Sprinter | FL | RS | SP | AC | Lead out | FL | RS | SP | AC | Saber | 75 | 72 | 81 | 79 | Itami | 73 | 64 | 78 | 79 | Guerao | 72 | 61 | 81 | 73 | Aberasturi | 73 | 69 | 78 | 76 | Kanter | 75 | 73 | 79 | 80 | Evangelos | 68 | 68 | 69 | 69 | Matthews | 76 | 67 | 79 | 79 | Favilli | 70 | 65 | 75 | 72 | Keough | 73 | 73 | 79 | 79 | Rathe | 73 | 71 | 74 | 76 | Bennett | 71 | 68 | 79 | 79 | Oram | 73 | 72 | 69 | 70 | Willwohl | 73 | 67 | 79 | 78 | Vermeersch | 77 | 78 | 74 | 72 | Rajovic | 72 | 76 | 78 | 82 | Altanzul | 72 | 73 | 78 | 75 | Wippert | 70 | 70 | 78 | 82 | Perera | 71 | 73 | 79 | 80 | Gibbons | 75 | 72 | 78 | 78 | Habtom | 75 | 75 | 77 | 78 | Losch | 73 | 68 | 78 | 79 | Robov | 71 | 73 | 69 | 71 | Bogdanovics | 73 | 69 | 78 | 77 | Cimolai | 73 | 66 | 76 | 75 | Stepniak | 71 | 68 | 78 | 77 | Stocker | 75 | 73 | 76 | 77 | Barbier | 75 | 71 | 77 | 79 | Merlier | 73 | 72 | 78 | 74 |
This race used to clash with a CT sprinter stage race, but not anymore. Which means most in not all the best division's sprinters are here. The headliner is Lahcen Saber as he looks to finish out his amazing season. Not sure if Itami is the best choice to lead him though. Guerao we've seen is very hit and miss this season. Kanter has gotten better as the year has gone on. Matthews always finds a way to get in the mix, conversely Keough seems to get the short end of the stick, maybe this is his race. Bennett and Willwohl will both want to take this last chance to finish the year with a stage win. Lastly Rajovic and Wippert both bring their huge acceleration to the table that can sometimes triumph over better sprinters.

Seeing Predatsch among the favourites feels very weird And i cant really believe in that. But I hope we can score well at these 5 stages. Though sprints are packed with quality.
Thanks for the preview!

Maybe the occasion for our veterans to save our 15th place in the rankings. Go Hugues! Go Oscar!
Thanks for the preview, good luck everyone.

Oh yeah, back on Glanbia territory!
Cruz, Downey and Bennett may all be favourites here for the last time in their career so let's hope they can produce one last great result
Thanks Red, good luck all

This should be a great chance for us to seal the division title, before Boswell will probably lead McCormick's charge in the last half month of the season.
Rekita hasn't been overly successful in TT-heavy stage races so far, with 4th place in Olympia's Tour being his best GC result. Time to change that on the very final occasion of the year!
Would be great to get another couple of good sprint results from Stepniak, but given the depth of the sprinter field that's far from granted.
Thanks for the preview, red, and good luck everyone for the final C2 stage race of the year

First thanks for the report!
I am satisfied with this stage, Willwohlbeing 5th is fine though podium would be better. BUT being ahead of Saber is the most important thing here today
Also Lietaer collecting some points and nobody losing time were good. Congrats to jura for the win!

At this point Top 20 GC would be enough for me - that would soften the points blow at least.

The team just wasn’t there in the sprints. The sprint train that I think we had performed badly. Hopefully we can pick it up tomorrow

At least Keough tried which gives us hope for other stages. Congrats to Fab, his climbers might not always get it done but feels like his sprinters are providing pretty good value.

How Saber didn’t win is beyond me. Perhaps Itami is a bad leadout who knows. Lets hope this was just a fluke and he performs better in the coming stages.

Awesome tactics and execution by Stepniak, wow! Winning a sprint stage (our 4th of the year, and the 3rd for Grzegorz) is exceptional given our subtop sprinters anyway, and winning stage 1 makes it all even better with the yellow and green jerseys
Let's hope his compatriots Rekita and Marchewka will do just as well later in the race, but I admit it's a pretty relaxing feeling having scored a good amount of the points target in the first stage already

Thanks, mate. Indeed, the sprinters are doing a good job this year, especially given their wage. I'd have liked to have an 80 sprinter tbh, but given the experiences from previous years I was pretty optimistic that any 78+ sprinter could get some good results. In the last ranking update, Stepniak and Aregger had about 300 points combined, which is almost as much as the gap between our teams - so yes, they did significantly contribute.
And last but not least: Thanks for the report, red.

When it comes to types of outdoor mats, there is a wide variety to choose from. Rubber mats are popular for their durability and slip-resistant properties. They are ideal for best craft mats for dogs high-traffic areas and can withstand heavy use. |

Thanks again for the reporting!
Though I wished for Willwohl to score in the top 5, 8th is fine too. But evenm more important is todays riding from Lietaer and also Plowright showing our colors early in the stages. Again nobody felt behing and if i look at the result it seems our riders are great in shape. Lietaer 3rd in GC and wearing the KoM jersey tomorrow is just great!
Hopefully they can continue this style of riding the remaining stages. But I am already proud of them that they wanna end the season in a great way like that!

Thanks for the reports!
4 and 5 is really not bad for Guerao. Maybe he can continue to be discreet, but good or even better, but I fear he'll begin to tire. Anyway we'll see.

Rajovic just didn’t quite have it in him still 4th is great. Still more opportunities for him to win a stage but the big person is Erdenebat. No time lost yet and doesn’t look like much energy wasted.
