It is year 6 here at our Team's HQ, still based out of Amsterdam, Netherlands. A warm welcome to everyone! We spent the best part of last season battling for our PCT lives, and in the end it was a happy conclusion, as we finished 19th and secured our place in the PCT for the upcoming 2022 season. With this come renewed expectation of finally being able to establish ourselves as a competitive PCT team.

On the team front, we are very excited to have completed the development of the first batch of in-house talents, and renewals allowing, are looking forward to having them leading the team going ahead.

As you can see, overall it's exciting times here at Philips - Force India and we look forward to a fruitful and exciting season ahead.

Primary Sponsor
i.imgur.com/wARRS9l.png

Philips remains our primary sponsor, and have been a solid partner through all the ups and downs that we have gone through in the past years. We hope to be able pay them back in kind soon enough. By concentrating on developing Dutch talents as a major part of our strategy, we have tried to pay back at least that part of agreement from our end.
Secondary Sponsor
i.imgur.com/q6p5yoS.png

Force India continues as our sponsor for what is the second of their two year original contract. The team has been hard at work in the off season promoting the sport in the Team Principal's home country, but it is expected to be a long drawn out process. There are also talks of Force - India already being interested to extend with us for a further two seasons irrespective of this season's outcome, so that's more good news for the team.
Other Sponsors
Our sponsors remain with us for this season, and there are no inclusions or exclusions in this list from last season.
Technology Partner AVG Technologies
Research Partners Airbus
Banking and Insurance Partner ABN Amro
Automobile Partners Audi (Cars) and VDL (Buses)
Equipment Canyon (Frames), SRAM (Groupsets), Zipp (Wheels) and Continental (Tyres)
Jersey Reebok

Primary Focus: Netherlands

Our primary focus remains the Netherlands. Our focus also continues to extend to riders from across the globe, anyone who we feel can become a part of our team building philosophy.

Good luck for your second consecutive PCT season Smile
It's definitely good that you stayed up with this roster - it's obviously less good that it was at our expense Pfft

Not too likely that we'll talk a lot during transfers, but given that I'm clearly not committed to a 100% Swiss roster, there might still be some interesting riders available Wink And you know, we've got some good experience with fancy loan-swap-deals Pfft

jandal7
Heyyyy it's good to be back in the PCT with you guys Grin I tried racing with Isostar and Evonik but it's nicer to have a Conglomerate member I can beat!*

Interested to see what the team will look like this year, obviously the first batch of talents maxing is amazing for you and will be so cool to see the young guns out there leading the team. Exciting times for Philips - Pro Continental - maybe we're a year or two from the big moves to Philips - Force Promotion and make it Philips - Pro Tour? Pfft

Love your HQ each year and looking forward to it this year and the "coming soons"... Grin

*Think you have a good shot at me this year!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

@Fabianski: We've been here before once but it didn't end well! Our survival wasn't really at your expense though, was it, with two other teams below us also surviving? You know me, always open for transfer discussions Smile

@jandal: I think your first para is true. The last line is not Pfft

Good to be back racing with you guys again as well. Think given our current rosters we'll be meeting quite often. Cant compete with your setup though, given the quality of young leaders you have coming through. Philips - Pro Tour is the dream Grin

Well, you were one of 5 teams passing us in the last month, so it's still somewhat at our expense Pfft
However, I can't really complain if my guys just get some 50-odd points from an entire month Rolling Eyes

Nemolito
Patiently waiting for the arrival of Ronaldo and Beckham. While I'm waiting I do hope your team makes the season a bit less suspenseful than last season, achieving your place in the (upper) midle table of the ranking preferably before the last two races. You definitely have the potential with your climbing/flying Dutchmen Smile

I know what everyone wants to read on our HQ right now, but this isn't it Pfft

We thought it was time to look back at our team history a little, before we look ahead to the 2022 season. In this post, we've tried to gather some stats on how the riders that have worn our colours have done for us in our five years of existence.

Keinath's record looks pretty much unbeatable at this point, with Kelderman remaining in 2nd but having the gap increased between himself and the former. Not much changes in these standings from last season either.

We hope you enjoy looking back on our history with us just as much as we did, rummaging through the archives and bringing out these stats.

Stay tuned as we start to focus on the 2022 season going ahead.

@Nemolito: Ronaldo and Beckham need another year or so to be ready Wink I hope you are right as well. Whatever has to happen, please let it not be as nail-biting!

Always love team history posts and yours are always some of the best. Think I might definitely steal that points table showing the years!

Keinath was so good that promoting year! Also love to see Wyss a lot like Roux for us always at the top of the points per wage table after their great 2017 years Grin

Love them too, that's why I do them! Thanks for the nice words Smile

Loved Wyss when he was around and still looking for the next Keinath...

We bid goodbye to Riccardo Zoidl, Charles Anguilet and Luka Sagadin. The first two declined in the off season, while Sagadin was not considered good enough to be given a full contract. We thank them for the contributions last season.

Lafay and Moricz return to their parent teams after a successful loan spell last season.

Inkelaar, Eenkhoorn, Minali and Kalf return from their loan spells, and are all fully developed now.

We were able to renew exactly the riders that we wanted to, which is a first for us. We already have 20 riders under contract and are under the wage, so we can safely skip this transfer window! But if you know us, you'll know that's never going to happen Wink

Stay tuned for the availability post coming up in a day or two...

Those are some fantastic wages for Kelderman and Penasa, wow. Especially with Penasa, you did extremely well to get him down that much. Inkelaar perhaps a little less than ideal, but it will be cool to see him maxed.

Those decreases for Kelderman and Penasa are huge! You've got a very deep roster, lots of potential contributors. I'll be curious to see how much of the roster you still want to change, or where you want to invest that remaining budget. However you do it, I don't think you'll have to fear relegation anymore this upcoming season.

That Penasa wage Shock

Sneaky promotion contender here Cool

Strong renewals for you. Kelderman on that wage is fantastic value, probably one of the best wages in the division!

@bbl: Inkelaar was touched by Isostar voodoo, so this was coming Pfft Happy with what we could do with Kelderman and Penasa. Given the former's bad recent record, a wage cut was always coming though!

@cunego: As mentioned above, particularly happy with Penasa's decrease while this is probably more where Kelderman should be at, given his performances. While we do have leaders on all terrains already, a target is perhaps to reduce the age of the team. That is mainly where we would expect to be making some changes. Not expecting a major overhaul though.

@redordead: Guess everyone loves that Penasa wage Pfft I don't expect to be fighting for promotion though, unless something spectacular happens in transfers!

@knockout: Kelderman's wage is surely a more believable value than what it had grown to. Happy to have fixed that problem. Like making those history posts, so it's nice that people enjoy reading them also Smile

Also, thanks for the tip, changed it now.

Can only echo others, that Triple-P wage cut is massive! Makes me wonder how far I could've gone with Quintana, if Penasa accepts his salary to basically be cut by half...

You already repeated several times that Wilco's time on the team probably is over, so looking forward to see how you tackle that challenge! And also looking forward to the availability list; although most of your guys aren't directly in our focus area, some of them might be pretty useful at CT level Pfft
