Welcome to the 4th edition of the Vilnius GP. This event swapped places with the Monterrey TTT this year. It's a 42.6 km course. Mostly flat, but for a few minor rises. Over this distance the team of the best 8 should win, but of course daily form plays a big role and we have seen teams of 7 or even 6 do well sometimes.
With that said let's look at some of the favourites:
| Avg. MO | Avg. TT | TTT Score | cycleYorkshire | 64,75 | 77,13 | 76,26 | Polar | 61,50 | 77,00 | 75,92 | Red Bull Zalgiris | 74,13 | 75,75 | 75,64 | Team UBS | 65,00 | 76,38 | 75,58 | Duolingo | 64,75 | 76,13 | 75,33 | Project: Africa | 65,13 | 76,00 | 75,24 | Los Pollos Hermanos | 60,63 | 75,75 | 74,69 | Glanbia Foods Cycling Project | 62,38 | 74,88 | 74,00 | Aker - MOT* | 64,86 | 73,90 | 73,27 | BWT Hyundai N Cycling | 66,00 | 73,13 | 72,63 | Minions | 62,13 | 73,38 | 72,59 | Jura - Fiat | 62,38 | 72,63 | 71,91 | Aramco DP* | 63,08 | 71,14 | 70,57 | Gjensidige Pro Cycling Team | 66,50 | 69,50 | 69,29 | Bralirwa - Stevens | 66,88 | 68,38 | 68,27 | Strava* | 62,76 | 62,28 | 62,32 | Tafjord Kraft | 66,00 | 61,75 | 62,05 | Eddie - Stobart | 58,50 | 60,00 | 59,90 |

Admittedly I thought we would be strong here, but the lack of an eight man could hurt us. Though, we have had it both ways with seven riders earlier this year, having both won a TTT, but also performed average. Fingers crossed we have the motors pushing the pace for the most time, and no real weak link, though, that’s very much depending on daily form.
If the mountain stat plays some kind of role, Red Bull must be the overwhelming favourite here. Very impressive lineup!
Looking forward to the report for this one. Key race for Polar as well regarding the promotion battle and their status as podium favourites here. |

Our usual failing of having good TTers but little Mountain ability will hurt us here.
Still an opportunity to get some points in the crucial race for 10th place in the CT!

And here I was, writing "we actually don't have a terrible squad for Vilnius this year" in my month preview And I mean, compared to last year, it's not wrong, but that's not worth a lot. On paper we should be fighting for 14th with Gjensigide. But it doesn't matter all that much Looking forward to the report anyways, thanks for the preview!

For selfish reasons I'd prefer Yorkshire not winning this one. We are a bit lower predicted then where I'd hoped, so need Zmorka to really step up and lead the team towards a possible top-5. Lower than seventh would be disappointing. Thanks for the preview, red.

Slightly lower in the preview than what I was hoping for. A Top10 would be great, and could be possible on a really good day.
Good thing is, the same team (bar the loanees) should be about 2 points stronger next year, so that's some nice perspective

Even far worse than the worst case scenario for us. The boys prefer staying in PCT I guess.
Congratulations on a deserved win, ryant. Thanks for the extended TT-report, red.

Pretty happy with that. Considering we were 5th in the CT TTT 5th here is a good result. Think this is our second biggest PPRD result this season. Good to know I'm not completely wasting my time with TTT focus
I guess points here are allocated the way Monterrey is described in the points sheet I have?
Nice report and well done to the winners

That's how I'll do it unless someone tells me otherwise, yes
I'm happy with 14th place, that was probably always the maximum. Congrats to cycleYorkshire, big points in the promotion race! And thank you for the report red, enjoyable read!

Thank you for the report, redordead.
Well done, cycleYorkshire! Congratulations on the win
6th place was good, hoped for a top 5, and being only 25 seconds behind the winner, it was definitely a good performance. |

Not the worst in the end for us considering my awful planning to only send 6 riders.
Thanks for the report and congrats to cycleYorkshire

We stacked the line up for the race and anything less than a win here would've been a disappointment. So winning here is very good and keeps our hopes alive of promotion yet again.
Congrats to Duolingo and Red Bull for filling out the podium spots as well, nice to see it wasn't too random at all in the end for once

10th is a good result for us, although 10" faster would have been 5 additional points. But we'll take those 20 points, which we definitely need in the relegation fight. Only 10 more RDs to come...
Congrats to cycleYorkshire, great win! On the other hand, UBS once again got the short straw in a TTT, really bad luck here to get only 8th. Even worse for LPH, though... Guess it matters a lot which rider is leading on the uphill section...

Jokes aside it's a great result for us. Congrats on the win ryant! Looks like we're in for a good tussle for the podium in the division.
