As the calendar turns to July the mangame peloton returns to the Faroe Islands for the 2nd edition of the Tórshavn GP. The course is rated flat but the 13 laps each include a significant little climb. So, it looks like one for the punchy sprinters and last year one of the best of that breed, Marko Kump, took the win from a 50-rider group.
Kump is back to try and defend his title but his is second on the favorites list behind another famous punchy sprinter, Van Stayen. Based on their combined sprint and hill ability the top 20 favorites are:
| FL | SP | AC | HI | RS | Van Stayen | 75 | 83 | 76 | 78 | 69 | Kump | 73 | 80 | 79 | 76 | 72 | Ackermann | 72 | 77 | 80 | 77 | 71 | Kreder | 73 | 77 | 78 | 75 | 71 | Van Asbroeck | 75 | 80 | 78 | 71 | 72 | Favilli | 71 | 76 | 74 | 75 | 67 | McEvoy | 70 | 75 | 79 | 76 | 70 | Felline | 68 | 74 | 78 | 77 | 73 | Meyer | 74 | 72 | 77 | 79 | 71 | Bellis | 74 | 73 | 74 | 77 | 70 | Vesely | 73 | 81 | 80 | 68 | 68 | Redecker | 73 | 77 | 78 | 72 | 67 | Silva | 68 | 74 | 79 | 75 | 70 | Calmejane | 74 | 72 | 76 | 77 | 76 | Jans | 76 | 74 | 74 | 74 | 73 | Gabburo | 75 | 72 | 76 | 76 | 75 | Kennaugh | 77 | 82 | 81 | 65 | 71 | Manninen | 74 | 81 | 80 | 66 | 75 | Silvestre | 78 | 80 | 81 | 67 | 71 | Cullaigh | 73 | 80 | 81 | 66 | 70 |
In addition to the big two mentioned above Ackermann is another rider who combines strong climbing with a good sprint. He will have last year’s surprise 3rd place finisher, De Bondt, working for him. Van Asbroeck carries the flag for sprinters who can climb a little. Then there are the riders who want a hard race so this turns in favor of the puncheurs, the strongest on that list are Felline and Meyer. Further down are those who want a controlled race with a more traditional finish, these includes some of the best sprinters in the CT, including Vesely, Kennaugh and Manninen.
Not on the favorites list is the lone Faroese rider, Veyhe. He is not great on the hills but he is a strong rouler and could put in a late attack if he can hold to the finish.

We're here with a rouleur team. Pre-season I had Ballerini in mind when picking this race, but unfortunately he hasn't really showed up in the races I thought would be good for him. Fingers crossed he can turn it around here, or at least that we get a race with lots of attacks and chaos in the final kilometers, as that's probably the only way we can make a result here.
Thank you for the preview, UU. Looking forward to the report! |

I guess we don't stand a chance here. I would like to see us in the breakaway if nothing else.

Van Asbroeck quite high in the favourites' list. Hope the performance lives up to the stats. He has been somewhat under par recently.
Thanks for the preview Ulrich

Profile might be a bit too tough for a sprinter like Manninen. On the other hand, if the peloton only starts upping the pace near the end, he should be capable of maybe holding on with his energy stats. Don't expect too much though, we'll see
Thanks for the preview Ulrich, and good luck to everyone.

Again, was hoping for better but the late attack spoiled it a bit for us I guess. 7th is ok but it probably should've been higher here from TVA.
Congrats to Binance and thanks for the report Ulrich

Nowhere near it as expected. At least some glimpses here or there.
Thanks for the report

Very good result by Yzeiraj, obviously happy with that. Also cool to see us try to set it up, definitely makes it all the better to see us come away with a result.
Congratulations on the win, Binance, and thank you for the report, UU |

I am very happy with a third place here. I guess the flat profile made this race so that the AI purely/mainly treated it as a sprinter's race only, which was of course beneficial to us.
Congratulations on the nice win to Binance, and thanks for an entertaining report as always to Ulrich! Really looking forward to PCT and CT rankings as well, suppose they should come soon as well.

As expected, nothing to cheer about. But Hjemsaeter holding on so long in the break was a highlight.
Thank you Ulrich and congrats to Binance for a nicely timed sprint victory! |

Thanks guys
This result is completely unexpected for me. There have been races where I really thought I was going to win and this wasn't one of them. I am extremely pleased with this victory that helps to minimize the last results of the team that were weak.
I really thought that this race would be decided with a late attack and that it would take some skill on the hills but luckily for us that didn't happen.
thanks for the report

My disappointment led me to analyzing the things around my team in search of any fault I've made with the squad, planning and so on. And I ended up being frustrated by the AI. It's yet another race where the AI puts Carlos Barbero as the leader of the team and Chaves ends up working for him. What in the name of all the gods does the AI think? That is not my intention at all.
Congratulations, fintas, and thank you for the report!
