I don't think this was a year with great GTs in terms of being tense. You could make a case for all of them, though the Tour is out for me due to being that crash-heavy in the first week. The Storyline says Giro, but the Vuelta had more epic rides so I take the ladder.

None of the GT's this year were particularly competitive at the top. Giro remains my favorite only because it had some great performances.
