No roturn, no party. The next ranking update will be a bit more detailed, but for now you'll have a quick January update
Red Bull has scored well in any race they entered, sometimes even with two riders. No big surprise to see them at the top of the table, already with a nice lead and their mandatory C2 racedays behind them. Podium Ambition and Bralirwa both with very few racedays but also nice scoring, as they have started the season in style as well. Los Pollos and UBS completing the promoting top-5 positions, with the chickens having used quite a lot of rd's already.
Sauber in sixth after scoring really well in Tachira with Campero, as one point behind them is Duolingo with half the rd's. Carlsberg already the fourth promoted team in eighth ahead of two other recently promoted teams, as Carrefour and P:A complete the top-10. The South Africans with the worst pprd of the top-10, but this doesn't say a lot imo with so few races done and many people still waiting to use their leaders etc.
Cedevita in eleventh, mainly thanks to a superb Beltran in Hong Kong, with a small gap then over several other experienced managers and teams. Assa Abloy, Binance and Tryg with a bad pprd here, but also because they were in Tachira, so nothing to worry about yet. Polar, he team with the least amount of racedays so far, at the bottom of the table.
Projected to win the division by 500 points, sounds about right Great start to the season, gives us a good cushion for when results will inevitably start to drop off. Thank you for the update!
Can't have any issue with where we are. Solely thanks to Beltran of course
Hopefully we get some scoring elsewhere, because despite his early success I don't see him carrying us like he did in 2019. Saber and Alarcon haven't raced yet so hopefully they score when they do.
Highest we've been in a rankings update since our last CT season i believe
This ain't bad given Altur missed his Top10 shot & Ewan flopped our opening Goal in DUC.
Oh i wish we had an Individual Ranking just to admire how high Alex Mayer would sit right now
T3A vs Bralirwa for the Title? Lets f*cking go and prove a lot of those predictions wrong
Surprised to even be that high with our highlight so far being a 9th place stage placing for Howard so reassuring to not be last. Minimal race days for us until around April, so would imagine we’ll be cellar dwellers until then.
As for my own team, I'm happy with a fourth place at the moment. Don't think I've ever been this high, even in CT
Obviously one of the teams with the most racedays done, but at least that's C2 out of the way. There are still a lot of racedays to come where I am sure I'll be scoring close to nothing, so it's very important that my three leaders capitalize their rd's. Manninen has definitely understood that assignment so far, whereas Spilak and Zmorka hopefully up their game a bit in the coming races.
Although there are no individual rankings in the thread yet I did notice Lopez Nolasco in Tachira scoring his first point ever as a professional racer, so happy with that as well
I'm very satisfied with where we are, obviously. 8th place is quite nice, and it's mostly thanks to a great start by AKA. He's kind of an X Factor in our season, and if he continues to perform well consistently, it changes the entire character of our ambitions and possibilities. Not counting on that cause sprints are sprints, but what he's scored so far has already been important. Then Roe and Warbasse did quite well too in HK. Overall, considering neither Guldhammer nor Trentin has raced yet, I feel like we've done well so far.
Not putting any stock in PpRD right now. Obviously that sees us much further down the rankings due to our high RD accumulation, but it's almost entirely a product of the fact that half of our race days were in Tachira. A lot of that will be made up throughout the year as other teams go through their C2 racedays, and we have almost no leaderless days.
Still very early and nobody has come close to making or breaking their season yet. But of course always nice to have points in your pocket as early as possible. The promoted teams ahve largely done that, and should be proud of it. One in hand, two in the bush and all that. Still several terrains to debut though and I think there will be a massive sorting out, probably closer to preseason expectations, by the second and third updates. Well, maybe aside for Red Bull, who are poised for a very successful year.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
Disappointing to be so low, given that Reinhardt has already spent 8 RDs. However, one good flat classic and things can look completely different. At least Masnada had a good start, that's something to build up upon.
February will be calm for the first 20 days or so, with all the action for us happening at the end of the month. Let's see for how long we can stay above those relegation spots - especially once we start doing some C2s as well
Congrats to RB for a great first month, those additions look great so far!
Han Solo d greatest. Good to see that we BOOMED PCT in January, by far the best team Granted a lot of that came from weird TDU, but if weird benefits us, then I don't think I care, considering it appears that was simply a route not well suited to PCM20. Keizalid will be attending Ukraine too, but from early February results it doesn't seem like ŽALGIRIS will remain in the top spot.
Very early, but we can not deny that this has been a poor start points wise. It also shows how dependant we are on Kwiat bringing in big points on the hills, which we could not do in Hong Kong.
Thank you for the update! Monster start for several teams, well done!
