National Championships 2020 Discussion

The format from last years worked out very well and so it comes back for the 2020 season as well.

In case you don't remember, from last year's thread:

All teams will have 8 riders. Gaps are filled by 'Fake Riders', with 55s in all stats.

There are 24 teams in all races, meaning that there will be teams of solely fake riders in almost all races.


Very few and only the bigger Nations with lots of riders were needed to be cut by rider strength in case of too many riders/teams. So in case a team only had a single rider not made for the terrain, chance was high to lose the NC spot in that case.

If a team has more than 8 riders from one Nation, then the IDs were sorted from low to high and a cut was made after the 8th rider. The later riders then go into a second team or in extreme cases even into third teams, so that all can participate.

Not really good for us, we have a shot at Italy, but it'll have to be Bonifazio. In Belgium we could do some interesting mass attacks with out flat beasts, but I doubt it will work.

Five (double) titles confirmed already as I'm the only manager with Peruvians in his team. What an achievement Wink

Don't know where else we would be able to score. Maybe Baugnies following a Vanbilsen attack in Belgium (if he is able to compete there, not sure if we're there with only one rider), Sterbini in the Italian time trial, or Manarelli in a sprint in Brazil.

Big unknown if Jyme will still be on the team next year. Depends on additions to see how hard Caribbean we go.

Kim definitely is with us in her Rainbow Jersey again.

We'll earn Barbados guaranteed as well. Solid chance at Aus, but Ewan's cursed so... AC should get CAN TT. A handful we have a chance at but i'm not holding my breath for too many this year.

Once we start adding more Caribbeans we'll be a veritable buffet of NC's in a year or two!

Kind of annoyed that I missed out on NCs Frown I've been busy and just lurked the past month to keep in touch with the end of season results.

But hey, there'll be some good lucking NC jerseys next year judging by who has already "won" their home races!

Hey Niccolo, go f'ck yourself.

"A special win after what has not always been an easy season for him!" feels a bit too lenient for him, although I can understand a reporter can't be too negative. Of all races this season, he picks the one without points.

Still, it shows he has a future. Maybe not in our team, but he can win sprints if the circumstances are right.

Good race in Italy by Basso and Vendrame, and a suprisingly good TT by Masnada.

Pernsteiner then showed by far his best performance in the Austrian RR, unfortunately just missing out on the title. Good race nonetheless!

Nice to get the portuguese RR NC again. After all those many years chasing the jersey it's become quite the trivial event for us. Still a very nice win for Borges in what could be his last season with us.
