Centovalli was 1st the last time ahead of Philips, Carlsberg and Carrefour. How did that change since then?
In short, Carrefour is the new leader passing the 1000 line mark the first but it`s super close as both Carlsberg and Centovalli are within 30 points. Though Centovalls has spent quite a few more race days.
Los Pollos Hermanos remain consistent and climb a spot to 4th as best new team while Philips dropped a bit down to 5th but having spent less race days.
Bralirwa as the team with most race days next with Tryg in a similar case while Project Africa and Strava are still in ceontention as well.

He might be one of the older riders in the Mangame but one very successfully one as well with a long history. Now he could add another stat to his palmares as Baugnies is the new 1st post the main classic season.
Pinot ahead of Warbasse next while Kelderman is the best puncheur with Naesen in 5th.
Reinhardt remains the best sprinter surprisingly as one huge overperformer.

I'm afraid those Trentino numbers can't be right at all... Way too high for a three-day C2 race. Guess the wrong category was taken when calculating those.

Trentino indeed is wrong. C1 instead of C2.
Will be fixed later, definitely in my file, likely also here. |

Regardless about how the rankings look like after updating Trentino, I'm super happy with our squads results so far of course. But specifically our scoring pace since the last updates has been fantastic which was a little of what I was expecting. That said with the cobbles finishing up, Nolf and Tsatevich might struggle to score a bit more so potentially a regression to the mean there.
Love seeing 6 guys in the top 30 though, hopefully we keep that up. Thanks for the update Roturn! |

Gonna have to see where we are after Trentino is updated. I knew this one was a bit too good to be true. Unless we all just agree to make Trentino retroactively C1. Any objections?

Less points for Trentino only means that Philips is even safer in the promotion spot...do not make them relive the nightmare that is PCT once again

Why, are you scared?
I've probably been getting too excited for no reason with recent results given how we're placed in the table at the moment. Even with Trentino's scores adjusted, we wont be that close to the top spot. Like I said before, this is probably our best ever chance of winning a division but it doesn't look like the push is coming from the team.
Kelderman should be steam-rolling the division, instead he's behind three others. Just goes to show last season wasn't a one-off. Paprstka and Boev have probably been our highlights so far, given their return on investment. We're behind on PpRD but there are also some unfavourable races coming up in the months ahead. We'll need to be much better to catch the top 2 at least.
Thanks for the huge update roturn

Thanks for the update. We have improved a bit towards the last ranking but the team is still w/o a win. I was hoping to build a Quick Step for CT and all I managed was a winless Trek retirement home.for GVA lol

I am really happy that my team managed a few great results and points in the last few races. I just hope that we managed to finish somewhere close to this result at the end of the season.
Thanks for the preview.

I'm one of the team that seems to be "lucky" with the Trentino miscalculation, so I suppose i will be back in fifth when it is corrected. Can't be unhappy with that. Great month of May for the legend Baugnies, which keeps us in the race for the promotion spots.
Nice to see other new teams Bralirwa and Project; Africa so close as well. I think fifth place will be for Tryg though, as liefwarrior really built a very nice team that still has a lot of RD's for their leaders whereas we are now relying on guys like Guillén to score points If Naesen is in another sprint classic I suppose he will also still score some nice points for Bralirwa, while Pinot is just beasting in almost every race he goes to. I think Strava won't catch us anymore, as they are based on hills and cobbles. In the hills they're having a hard time so far, and on the cobbles we can compete with them. Marquez should also still be able to score his points in the mountains for us(and of course the almighty Seboka will do so as well, easily 500 points or more )
All in all, top-8 seems realistic now, and if I'm lucky enough top-6 could also be possible!

A division where I have a lot of managers I like and hence want to promote - so it's always difficult to comment on.
Really happy to see maxime and bbl being in a position where promotion seems very likely - and our old loanie-friends of Centovalli also is in a strong position. All of those will be very interesting to follow in the PCT if things stay the same.
I'm really not happy to see Sauber this far back though. I would have expected/hoped for them to bounce up again, but I guess some of those newer managers are really doing a good job aswell which I have to credit!
Philips need to find the tune again, they really should promote with this setup!

I really agree with this. So many awesome teams to cheer for!
If I end up in CT next year at least I won't have to face all of them

Have you calculated those numbers in the meantime?
I'll wait to comment on the standings until I know where we really are - those Trentino reductions should actually have a pretty bad impact on our score, as I counted around 100 points less than what's in the list...
What I can say already now is that we basically had two good races in this entire period - obviously Moscon's win in Coppa Placci, and then the home race in Romandie. Basso's exploit in Lincoln GP is definitely compensated by the disappointing zero-pointer in Faso, where he was a no-show. Many other races were OK-ish to good, with Olympia's Tour obviously being a manager mistake.

It's all relative though. Anybody who was there will be worse off in the real rankings, and the better you did, the more than correction will bring you back down to earth. If I added right, my score is inflated by well over 100 points, which means you will actually pass me even though you lose points too.

I'm not so sure about this. Cort Nielsen and Lunke each only have 5 races left on their schedules, two of which are stage races. and three of which (inc. a stage race) they share. A conservative estimate puts them scoring about 120 more points combined.
I've got a lot more uncertainty in relation to Hoelgaard and especially Smirnovs. Last year it was during the autumn classics that Hoelgaard secured a huge number of points and several victories, but I'm not sure he'll be able to repeat that performance. Hoelgaard has seven races left, including two stage races. Smirnovs has more to come with 11 total races. Three of them aren't good races for a puncheur, and just two are stage races. There is also significant overlap between these two.
Alexander Krieger has nine races remaining on his schedule, but the majority are stage races where he will be competing for green rather than yellow, which means less points. Those few races that are pure sprinter races are mostly C1, and carry the additional danger of a victory by a late attack.
Overall our position is relatively precarious, but I do like the idea of a 5th-placed finish. |
