Does anyone know why my computer crashes when trying to load the Sprint and Keirin races? It loads the elimination races no problems.
I've got patch 1.0.2.3 loaded and have also loaded the bejing velodrome. |

If elimination races work then it cant be a problem with the Velodrome

Sounds fine to me, but you may have to compromise on the graphics, depends on how good the graphics card is (laptops sometimes aren't the best).
By the way you should really post this as a seperate thread in the "PCM 08: Technical issues" forum, it will probably get more replies. |

I think you will be able to play the game with ok graphics at least.. But for next time, ask in the 'are my computer good enough' thread |

I got the same problem when installing the A.S.O database you got here on this page. Single player mode works almost brilliantly but these track-races crash every time I start them. Annoying, cause it didn't work to delete the pcm folder either!
Could somebody please help? |

Maybe "velodrome.xml" is corrupted.
https://rapidshare.com/files/140451431...e.xml.html
Download this and put it in your CM_Stages folder. |

OK it's downloaded, but I can't find the folder. Do you mean the "config" folder that contains the file called stagebuilder? |

This folder isn't in My Documents. It's in main PCM-folder: C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager 2008\ |

I'll put this here as I don't think it warrants a new topic.
I've noticed when I try to play online with the Manchester track loaded the game will usually crash just before the stage launches. The other velodromes - ie. Beijing, Amsterdam, Bremen - seem to handle online play fine.
Anyone else have the same prob?
And yep, I've cleared the cache after loaded the tracks up.... |
