I bought the steamkey for a pcm game on gamesplanet to support the site. But now that I want a refund for it, it tells me this: Retail Activation Cannot be refunded through Steam. Please contact the retailer where the product was purchased for refund availability and instructions.
Can somebody help me? Because I can find something about refund within 14 days. But after that... what?
Gamesplanet policy: You can cancel your order and get a refund within 14 days, after this period your right of withdrawal ends.
In normal terms, if you don't claim a refund in 14 days, you cannot get one. This is pretty standard for all online games stores. So if it's a game you brought a year ago or more as it sounds like, you definitely cannot get a refund!
Steam won't refund because you didn't buy it from them, you're only using Steam as a platform not a storefont in this instance.
Yeah, idk about overseas, but in America it is pretty common that you can't get a refund on any item after a certain amount of time unless it's warranty/defect related. With online games those restrictions are probably even more tight.

Not just America, if you buy something it is your to keep.
I some situations as a consumer you can get a refund, with a short window after that it is yours to keep, seems fair enough to me. As the seller will have some serious cost if they get too much back.
