The season is underway!
Kittel already with his 4th win in Palm Classic after winning the initial 3 editions. Copa America with some exciting racing in the rain - for the first time a late attack was successful. In Indonesia Spilak the big favorite already in the lead after the first 3 stages. |

Ross defending his Copa America title (and making it 3/4 for us) was always going to be tough, a late attack getting away made it tougher, a shame as he seemed to be on a good day. PureBlack making up for it in their first senior outing of the year in Indonesia with both De Grootte (also with a stage top 20) and Akinyemi in breaks with the latter leading the KoM, awesome stuff! Spencer doing a decent GC (the TT hurt) in 40th too.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Akinyemi was really close to winning stage 2, I was rooting for him |

Was wondering how he did so well to end up in the front group but imagined it was an earlier catch, that's both really cool and really sad to hear

The Palm Classic was even worse than expected, Schorn was even beaten by Bertilsson. Sprints were never going to be our forte anyway. But 3 points for our terrible dev team from the Copa America is 3 points more than expected.

Meyer needed to chase the break himself to get 4th place in U23 Copa America. Hope the Suntory team can control future races.
Thanks for the reports Bikex.

Great result for home rider Dealton Nur in Indonesia with a stage win and 2nd in GC. Nicolau already with his second win in Gabon. |

After my bold prediction we would win every stage in Bongo, I suppose the logical karma was to come 2nd on both of the opening days Quite frustrating in both scenarios but not awful obviously.
Really really happy with Indonesia for PureBlack with Akinyemi's KoM win and Stage 2 showing, a shame our climbers decided to take turns being good, Spencer's first couple of days, Akinyemi on stage 2, Padron best overall and Lecomte in 15th on Stage 6 all showed promise but none did super well on GC

Nice job in Indonesia from the teams we all predicted would come last.

Nicolau becomes a true legend of breakaway wins, shame he couldn't hold onto his GC lead.
ICBC is on a roll, love that team. However not surprising, they usually perform very well early in the season.

Holy moly we are bad, I thought Cimolai would at least do something in CT. Luckily Puccio looks quite good but apart from that the start was rather subpar.
Thanks for the results Bikex!

Nice to see KBC get the first win out of the way early. Hopefully Ciolek can hang tough in the hillier stages. The celebration screen shot showed off a great looking jersey. Tx to Hillis for that.

2 stages of Amissa Bongo with 2 wins for Geschke and initial two stages of Toowoomba posted. Slagter again showing his strength in this early season races. |
