The Lincoln GP will be run for the 8th time, as the teams line up to tackle the cobbled hill circuit in Lincoln. The peloton will ride the circuit and the cobbled hill section in it a total of 13 times, including starting and ending on it. The hills aren't the hardest, with the cobbles expected to cause the majority of the damage to the riders.
2015 winner Langeveld is the only former winner on the startlist but it is unlikely that he can turn back the clock and strike gold once again. As such, we should be looking towards crowning a new winner in this race this time. Last year's runner-up Kluge is here again, and is among the favourites.

In terms of a combination of cobbles and puncher capabilities, Kasperkiewicz is the rider most suited to this course. He starts as top favourite, much like a lot of cobbled races in the Continental Tour this season.
The rider having the best cobbles season in the division so far is Van Keirsbulck and he should once again be one of the top favourites for the win in this race. In all the major aspects needed for this race, he's slightly weaker than Kasperkiewicz, but Van Keirsbulck has so far go the better of his younger rival so far this season.
A few more riders are realistically in the mix for a podium finish, and can challenge for the win on a good day:
Maes with his high flat stat is a good candidate for a late attack before the finish climb and cobbled section, to try and steal a march over his rivals.
Azteca have a strong three-pronged attacked in Richardson, Orue and Corwin. They have had good results all season on the cobbles, perhaps even over achieving in certain races over more favoured riders.
Taubel is always a consistent performer in races like this. His hill climbing abilities could cause some concerns.
Kluge had an excellent race last season, and will be hoping for a repeat, which may prove more difficult with his decline.
Jacobs and Nepomnyachsniy are the others favoured to challenge for the Top 10 spots.

One of the few races where 5* cobbles might improve the racing.
Still, I believe a decent punch up that final hill could be quite helpful to win this one.

WTF just happened... thank god for Uri realizing how sloppy this race could be and getting himself into the break even though we have three quality cobbles riders behind him. Grats to Coronel one of my former riders!

We prevail through the chaos, yet another rough race for Kaspa and the rest of Netia. Obviously very happy with the win, but at this point in time it's gotta be rough to be Netia manager. Thanks for the report!
