Final stage of 2019 Vuelta al Tachira, that as every year, it will end in the San Cristobal hilly circuit. Usually this stage doesn't produce differences between the GC riders, except when in 2017 Rafa Valls assault the GC win from Gavin Mannion with a powerfull attack. Let's see what happens today, as Thibaut Pinot is 46 seconds behind Beñat Intxausti, someone not known for being a good puncheur, and could potentially struuggle if GCN plays it right

Mohs beats Korzh and Altanzul in the intermediate sprint, that gets the BNZ rider closer to the top of the Points standings. If the stage comes down to an sprint, he'll have a great chance to win that jersey

Well, extremely pasive racing today, so this is going to be an sprint in San Cristobal. But remember the final km is uphill, so won't be your usual sprint. GCN are placing themselves in great positions for Mohs, with Altanzul in the first places too. GC riders are in front positions, as they obviously don't want to get caught in a split, and with the uphill finish they can potentially challenge for the win

Signal Iduna takes over for the sprint preparations with just 2 kms to go! They are trusting Mansilla to get them a second stage win in the race. Mohs has seen this as is trying to follow that train, with Altanzul same but a few metres back. No signs of other sprinters in the first places

Riders enter the final kms, while exiting the final corner, with Abelouache leading the sprint for Mansilla, with Mohs and Altanzul very well placed at this wheel. Cort Nielsen in fourth place of the bunch. We can also see Pinot, Kiserlovski and Intxausti in the first 15 places, but no Faiers in the first 20-25 riders

Beñat Intxausti is now officially the 2019 Vuelta al Tachira champion!! 34 seconds is the final gap over Thibaut Pinot, with the podium being completed by Thomas Faiers. With the bonus collected thanks to the stage win today, Cort Nielsen will climb to sixth in GC over Brandt
