As said above, a provisional and mostly final DB will probably be uploaded on Monday or Tuesday.
If there are small changes those will be mentioned afterwards when a v2 is needed.
For new managers mainly: The C1/C2 selection stuff comes around transfer start, so nothing to submit at the moment but obviously you all should start to check through the race profiles already finding suitable races, you consider to race.
And please also mainly for new managers, already check the transfer rules from previous year to get the rules properly. |

I am very unhappy that we have less than a week from the db release to FAs. Not only that I will be on holidays from when the db comes out to the start so there is No chance if planning anything, I think it's a disaster to wait 1 month for Renewals and then give like 3 days preparation time for the transfer season, which is the most important thing in MG.

I agree it's not optimal, but given the circumstances I think this is the best way to go forward. There have been enough delays already.
Looks like I'll be able to copletely follow the transfer season for the first time in 3 years.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

There's always going to be someone on vacations when the green light hits, and roturn had already hinted that would be soon. I feel your pain Cro but at least you're not away when transfers actually start. Also it's not true that you can't plan anything. I agree that the Post-renewals DB is crucial, but you can already define which talents you're going to go after and shortlist many other riders.
Bottom line is things need to start rolling when roturn needs them to, because otherwise everything stalls. He has already said that next season deadlines will be more clear.

It's unfortunate that renewals is taking so long for sure, but we've had the pre-renewals DB for a month and disbandments were confirmed three weeks ago. Even though the transfer DB is likely to alter some plans, it's not like we haven't been able to do at least some rough transfer preparation before this week. In the end, transfers has to happen when roturn has the time.

Last season i had to do my renewals and pre-transfer planning based on an unfinished stat gains DB. Pick my goals based off whatever profiles i could get to load on my phone at a beach (then pick them again when costs changed). Basically just rely entirely upon SN and Roturn to survive the off-season. And yet still end up with a promoting PCT team.
I've missed almost all the off-season for the last two yeards.
There are ways to survive and get things done when you are limited in time or availability, even when you can't have access to all the proper resources. There are more than enough people behind the scenes able to help you out, and still put together a good team and season.
Sometimes you've just got to suck up the difficulties and make the most from what you can.

Good to get it going. Not the best fit for me, but that's how it goes.
No reason to panic as you won't miss out on anything other than general panic friday night anyway...

Good to see this laid-out for us, the hype can ratchet up another notch .
Given there are what 60+ MG managers, the timing is obviously not going to be ideal for absolutely everyone whenever transfers takes place, this is just a reality of such a community game. Unfortunate for those that it doesn't work out optimally for this go-round, but admins have ably demonstrated in the past the ability to substitute given appropriate instructions.

My Problem is that it takes the most exciting time of full MG away almost completely, the time when you can create plans and sharpen ideas about what you want to do with your team. Not a matter of Me particularly being away, but more of the fact that it would be much cooler to have this part longer. Also, any sane manager will assure you TMM that it very much makes a significant difference to have a db after renewals, as minimal sums can decide on whether you are able to pursue a certain plan A rider. F.e. the renewed wage of a certain rider could have completely turned around my goals most likely and if in my range would be at least turned around one of my goals, if I wouldve been able to wait for it. That's why it should next season be available BEFORE goals surely, and a lot more than a couple of days before transfers.

I agree that an updated DB before goals would be beneficial, I wanted to wait for an updated DB but ended up submitting goals without it in the end.
Especially for newly promoted teams, knowing who is released to FA or what wage some riders on can make a huge difference.
Knowing if there are more Climbers or Hill riders on FA/ knowing if I am likely going to be able to get someone out of FA as a leader or if I need higher cost goals for a bigger budget because all the riders I deem interesting are still under contract makes a big difference to transfer plans.
@TMM not everyone who promotes already has the same kind of base to build from as you did from just Ewan alone, nevermind the other valuable riders you had going into transfers.

As per tradition, I will be away during the entire transfer season Obviously will try to check in from time to time, but, well, Air France did pretty great with the squad in the previous season, so the riders will just have to repeat that performance |

Is it decided what the punishment/resolve will be for managers that don't manage to get this done in time?

I would suggest losing one goals point every 12 hours?
Say you pick goals for 18 points, if you're 12 hours late your budget will only reflect 17 goals points.
