CAREER Game: Pro Cycling Manager 2018 v1.0.3.9 Database: RSM/PCMdaily 2019DB Update 3 Difficulty level: Extreme with "Local.cdb" ratio fixed at 1.1x Frequency of falls: 1.0x Prize money coefficient: 1.0x Random Potentials: Yes
In the last months Yates brothers have shown unprofessional behaviors and disrespect to the team, which convinced Mitchelton-SCOTT not to renew their contract. Just another chance for them: Team Sky. Yes, it's back again; but after leaving in favor of Team INEOS, it will start from the bottom: in the UCI Professional Continental Team category.
A step back for the Yates brothers that will be crucial for them, is this the rebirth of a successful career or the beginning of the end?
An intertwined story, where Team Sky is counting a lot on the Yateses, that with their performance will decide if team could rise again as the best team in the world like it used to be, or if they will definitely fall together.
We miss the rivalries of the past like Coppi-Bartali, Anquetil-Poulidor, Merckx-De Vlaeminck, Moser-Saronni... nowadays many prefer to see fair play acts like waiting for someone if he falls/makes a poop/has a puncture. We think that battle is the essence of sport, and until you don't break the rules, everything is conceded.
Best rivalries have always been between compratiots, but what if these rivals are also brothers? Just one thing: they will be brothers, or they will be enemies.
Will this era be remembered as the years of fights between these british bad boys?

[img-l]https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/5480/f1GPud.png[/img-l] SIMON YATES
For many years people thought that Simon was worse than his brother Adam, but after Giro 2018 he showed that he's potentially one of the best climbers out there. Will he prove himself? Consistency has never been one of his traits... Key Stats: 81MON, 78HIL
[img-l]https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/2038/OdLXQ1.png[/img-l] ADAM YATES
Already 4th place in Tour de France GC at age of 23, then he started getting worse. He's mature now, has to show his real capabilities before it gets too late. His experiences in such a challenging race like Tour de France might be decisive for himself and for Team Sky. Key Stats: 80MON, 78HIL
[img-l]https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img921/6302/cpQIn5.png[/img-l] DANIEL MCLAY
Used to reach Top5 in a lot of Tour de France sprints few years ago, but then he didn't improve as you could expect from a 23y old guy. Time is on his side, but we'll have to see if he has real talent. Key element for the team because the only results from sprints should come from him. Key Stats: 77SPR, 78ACC
[img-l]https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/6017/MFFg4u.png[/img-l] RYAN MULLEN
Like McLay on Sprints, Mullen on Time Trial is the only one in the team which could perform well, he has still huge margins of improvemente, but will he be able to adapt in this team since he's the only foreigner? Key Stats: 77TTR, 77PRL
IMPORTANT RIDERS Tao Geoghegan Hart: One of the best talents in Team Sky, might be the perfect lieutenant for his leaders during his first years here.
SECONDARY RIDERS Owain Doull: The only raw baroudeur of the team, good to have a rider like him in the roster. Cristopher Lawless: Decent sprinter but still only 23 years old. James Knox: Can help a lot in hilly stages if he improves in next years. Thomas Pidcock: The british wonderkid doesn't seem to perform in road races as good as he does in cyclocroos, but he's still very young and things can change quickly.
OTHER RIDERS:
Scott Thwaites, Daniel Whitehouse, Mark Christian, Daniel Pearson, Scott Davies, Stephen Williams, Mark Donovan

interesting start - but I fear the Yates will be dominant in PCT
Our goal will be promotion to UWT in first season, then I hope they will!
Though, I'll play with 1.1x coefficient that is harder than extreme!
It means that to become as good as I hope they will, it all depends on how things will go in career: good results will make Team Sky stronger and so help Yateses win more, and also random potentials will make this story unpredictable.
This high difficulty could also mean that we could fail, I'm not 100% confident that it's going to be easy since the beginning!

Here it all begins. Team Sky is on way to Gabon to run their first race together. Lineup is: S.Yates, A.Yates, D.McLay. R.Mullen, C.Lawless, S.Thwaites, D.Pearson. Most of them have bad fitness and are going to take this chance to train for the first objectives of the season. Meanwhile, Richie Porte won Santos Tour Down Under.
Good win for S.Yates, who takes advantage of the latest uphill meters before finish line to anticipate sprinters, and resisted at the Grosu's comeback. The favourite Albasini finished 8th. There was no sign at all that Yates brothers wanted to cooperate. Only 12th Adam Yates, who tried to attack once the last uphill started. Here are the highlights:
Win for Niccolò Bonifazio, 6th C.Lawless and 10th D.McLay, who started his sprint too late. It looked like a though day for S.Yates, that rode all day in the bottom of the peloton.
Another though day for S.Yates, 49th with same time of Niklas Arndt, first on the finish line. Adam ends 8th ahead of Grosu and McLay, 10th again, which ended the stage exhausted. Plain stages in this tour aren't as flat as they seem, and all riders in Team Sky have weak fitness.
Another stage win for Bonifazio that wins La Tropicale Amissa Bongo thanks to -10" on the final sprint. Simon Yates lost ledership after 6 days wearing the yellow jersey, and finished second in the general classification. Meanwhile McLay finally had a decent sprint with his 4th place in last stage, but we could have expect more from him.
