Sixth day in the race and we have the second timetrial, the first and only individual of this Tour de Suisse route. It’s just 20 kms, but it should give us some gaps between GC riders before the last 3 stages, that surely will produce good racing.
Right now, Vuelta a España winner Silvio Herklotz is the race leader, after his win in S4, being 10 seconds ahead of S2 stage winner Andy Schleck and 11 ahead of Andrey Amador (part of the team that won the TTT on S3). The Costa Rican is the main favourite to be on the lead after the TT, even being one of the possible contenders for the stage win today
The first good time would be done by Predatsch, but would be inmediately improved by Stelly Robert, who made a time of 26’41
Wouldn’t last long on the “hot seat” Robert, as Gonzalez Salas would smash his time by 37 seconds! This time could be a stage winning time, but we’ll have to wait for another 150+ riders to come
Van Winden and Leung would come relatively close to the Spanish rider, making times 18 and 34 seconds slower, but it would be Swiss champion Silvan Dillier, riding at his home race, the first rider to go under 26 minutes, improving Gonzalez Salas’ time by 8 seconds!
Third best time for Kwok, 18 seconds slower than Dillier

Maccagli +49

Dissapointing time for Kittel, who can only be fourth, and 23 seconds slower than Dillier
Second best time for Yatsevich, who falls 7 seconds short of Dillier’s time
Wow so close for Sutterlin! The German rider is only 2 seconds slower than Dillier, so he’ll have to settle for second provisional place
Verona +27
Wetterhall +28
Dal Col sets the third fastest time, beating his team-mate Yatsevich by one second
Dumoulin +25
Balloni +42
Huge dissapointment in the crowd, as Adrian Malori beats home hero Silvan Dillier by just 1 second to take the lead in the stage!

Time for some of the low-tier GC riders to go on the course. Surprisingly bad time for 2017 surprise rider of the year Adam Yates, in his return to the PT as a wildcard, losing 1’41 to Malori

Fantastic time for Thomas Dekker, just losing 13 seconds to Malori. This time could put into the GC Top5 after the stage
Meintjes loses 1’18 to Malori, and 1’05 to Dekker
Not the greatest time for Quintana, who ends up losing 1’39 to the best time
Good time for Machado, only losing 48 seconds to Malori, and 35 to Dekker
Dombrowski does a time 1 second better than Meintjes, losing 1’17 to Malori
+1’04 for Wellens, losing 16 seconds to Machado in the Top5 battle
Guldhammer matching the times of Dombrowski and Meintjes, though he lost a couple of extra seconds to them
Morton wants to keep that fourth place as “best of the humans”, and his time today could help him, as the time loss to Machado is just 8 seconds
No words for Andrey Amador’s performance today! He’s not getting the stage win, but he just tied Adrian Malori’s time at the top of standings!
Bad day for Schleck, as he loses 1’22 to Amador. That’s a lot of time, that could actually drop him to fight with riders like Morton, Dombrowski, Dekker or Machado for the final podium spot instead of fighting for the GC win
And the last rider is Silvio Herklotz. With Amador’s massive effort, the German wonderkind won’t be retaining the race lead, but losing 52 seconds to him isn’t that bad considering that he’s putting 30 seconds to Schleck
Adrian Malori is the winner in Bad Ragaz! Great win for him and his team, involved in the relegation fight
And as expected Andrei Amador becomes the new race leader. And actually a very comfortable lead, as Herklotz is 41 seconds behind, and the third placed rider, Dekker, is already at 1’17. Morton at 1’17 too, and Machado at 1’20 complete a Top5 of which Schleck has fallen after his disastrous TT
