I've been making stages for a while now, and therefore encountered an uncountable number of errors in Stage Editor. Mostly, believe it or not, it all works out well in the end. But one error seems to return, and I can't find my way around it:
When one generates borders in order for spectators and stuff to appear, the Stage Editor adds objects along the road. Sometimes, however, spectators does not appear in the final city, in other words close to the finishing line. It's a ride to a ghost town. This is annoying to say at least. Also, it often seems as the Stage Editor generates heavy numbers of spectators NOT around the finish line in some stages, but rather at the end of the route, meaning at least some kilometers behind the finish line, where the road ends, at a place no one will ever see them. This seems rather stupid. Does anyone have the same problem? Or maybe some tricks to make it work?
Actually, generating borders isn't necessary and the spectator distribution isn't accurate at all compared to when you're actually playing the stage, the only use of generating borders is if you want to delete certain border objects because they clash with what you've already done (like guards on the side of the roads).
Have you tested one of these stages in game? If you haven't I'm guessing the spectator distribution looks much more normal when playing.
Thanks for a fast reply! Yes, tried it several times in game. No spectators besides those at the auto-generated tribune shows up, even though the finish (for example) is in the middle of a large city. When I'm running other stages, it's all fine, so it's not my graphich settings.
Hmm, that does seem like a weird issue. Is it possible that the road is going round a bend or has buildings right on the edge of the road at the finish line? Though I'm not even sure if either of those would cause an issue.
What game is it? If it's PCM16 or 15 I'd offer to take a look at the zcts, but I don't have PCM17 (and based on where you posted the thread, that seems most likely).
It's PCM17, unfortunately. Thanks for the offer anyway. I've tried several options with finishing lines going straight and in curves and so on, nothing seems to do the trick! I'll keep trying stuff and let you know if something works out.
