It seems like most people, myself included, typically play as a stage racer or climber so I'm curious if others have had enjoyable careers as other rider types.
If I play as a puncher like Kwiatkowski or Gilbert will the team treat me as a leader in stage races or will I be able to ride as a domestique and go for stage wins? Will the peloton allow me in breakaways if I have a high average rating but am not a factor for GC?
If I play as a classics specialist with high flat/cobbles but poor sprint (like Cancellara) will I be able to win any of the cobbled classics or will I always lose the sprint in the end?
If you play as a sprinter does the team work for you or do you just follow the wheel of your main rivals?
I played like classic specialist, with high flat/cobbles and sprint about 70/71, and in classics i got some great placement but few wins because I arrived with low energy left, but it were in my first time playng pcm17, after that i played just career mode and I'm a bit better in energy economy during classics, have to retry it.
In GT also if you have high average peloton allow you to break, and my team let me a free role after few years of domestique, I managed to win green jersey in tour by winning most of the intermediate sprint and some placement and a stage win. I got also a leader role in WC by my national team (Belgium, so not bad)
