In this thread, you can ask your general support questions and report any problems and bugs you find.
Before you do, make sure to read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) thoroughly to see if your problem has been listed there. If the solution offered in the FAQ below doesn't work for you, please mention this in your post to avoid getting your post ignored.
Already reported bugs and the solutions (or fixing progress) can be found in the Reported bugs post below this.
There's two simple rules you need to follow:
1. Don't ask questions about future release dates.
2. No PMs to DB Team members. If you need support, we'll provide it in here.
Please keep in mind that we're volunteers and we don't get paid to do this. Most of us are working or studying next to this, so be patient if you don't get a reply immediately.

Why do some races have a rider limit of 7 and not 8? or Why can I only sign up 8 riders to ride for a Grand Tour?
Spoiler We have chosen to implement the UCI rules that will be enforced starting with the 2018 season for all international races. According to the reduction in team sizes, which you can read more about in here, the maximum allowed for all races will now be seven riders, with teams of eight for the three Grand Tours. If you're playing the Expansion Pack and also downloaded the latest bugfix, you might notice we've only updated these rules in the 2017 NCs cdb file, while the 2016 NCs one still has the old regulations concerning team sizes, so you can choose what you prefer. The AI seems to handle the new team sizes pretty well.
I installed the database, but now the teams show pink boxes instead of the minishirt. or I installed the database, but now the bikes and helmets don't show. or I installed the database, but several stages are Québec - Québec (203,7 km). What have I done wrong?
Spoiler Most likely, you unpacked the database in the wrong directory. As a general rule, you need to install the Expansion Pack in the same directory as the one where you can find the PCM executable file (PCM.exe). In our archive, you should manually change the installation directory. The standard location where Steam installs your game is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2017, but this directory can be different if you set Steam to install the game in another directory (f.e. D:\SteamLibrary\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2017).
Do I need a clean installation of PCM for the database to work?
Spoiler You don't necessarily need a clean installation of Pro Cycling Manager 2017. We recommended this when we released the 2016DB for PCM 2015, because of the large amount of problems the Expansion Pack was causing back then. Since the Lite Pack haven't caused any gamebreaking bugs since the final patch, you don't need to perform a clean install before installing V1 of the Expansion Pack.
However, performing a clean install will save you a marginal amount of disk space if you had the EP or another database installed before, and will of course lower the risk of incurring in annoying crashes, even though nothing like that is supposed to happen.
To perform a clean install, go to your installation directory and delete all contents of the folder Pro Cycling Manager 2017. Don't delete the folder itself! Open Steam, go to your Library and right click Pro Cycling Manager 2017. Select Properties and go to Local Files. Click Verify integrity of game cache. Steam will now check which files are missing (all files) and will automatically download and install them again.
I installed the database, but I would like to install another database as well. Does this cause any issues?
Spoiler We tried to configure this database in a way that it can be installed alongside another database. However, there are some files that could get overwritten when you install another database. This could result in alterations of your gameplay (like different sponsorkits or missing/wrong jerseys, accessories, etc.) or even crashes. So it is possible to install multiple databases, but it's risky.
You can however try to make a second installation of PCM in a different path. This way you can play 2 databases with virtually no risks!

Thanks for the awesome work guys. I saw there are 3 new difficulties 2 of them are medium and impossible so what is harder between medium/normal and impossible/extreme? |

Difficulties are in the order you see them in the settings: Easy, Normal, Medium, Hard, Very Hard, Extreme, Impossible.

Nice to see it being released! I was wondering if somebody could provide the .cdb file. Because I might go well over my download limit if I download the whole pack so that'll have to wait until next month, but I could use the DB-file just now.

There's no MEGA mirror (yet), you're just able to download the db straight from the forum for the moment. If we'll have a chance to add a MEGA mirror we'll do it.

First off, I appreciate all the work that went into the database. Truly awesome work.
I'm wondering if there's an easy way to reduce the number of races my team is subscribed to in pro cyclist mode? I started a new career and my rider was scheduled for 89 race days at the start. My team was subscribed to 2 other races on the same day as the USA Championships but we only have 15 riders, most of whom are American. It just seems like there are too many races. Any ideas? |

what does that mean? i still have patrick lefevre for lotto soudal as coach. or that can't be changed?
- Its only a file of 10gb? its downloaded in 10min. or am i doing someting wrong?

I think they mean all direct sportifs of all teams are in the DB. In all previous versions 'coaches' were assigned to team randomly at the start of a career.
Since you have this 'problem' I think it still does, and then there's nothing much the daily team (or anyone) can change that. Only solution for realism is to manually start editing every coach, which is quite alot of work |

There's a column in dyn_team that assigns to each team a directeur sportif that is used in some career mode mails. Unfortunately we can't edit coaches that get assigned to certain teams randomly.

Yes, it has been compressed with a rate of a bit more of 50%, once you'll unpack it it will amount to 21 gb.

He doesn't have a 1 in gene_i_will_retire, so we didn't set him. Maybe the game just decided he would have to retire and did it deliberately.

First of all, thanks for that wonderful expansion pack.
Secondly in the features you list
- Correct graphics for all teams
- More than 900 HQ custom sponsors
- NC, WC and/or race leader jerseys for many teams and custom sponsors
- 2017 National Team jerseys
- New and updated leader jerseys
- Rider photos for all riders in a team and most free agents
If my understanding of the game is correct, it should be found in My Documents/PCM2017/Mod under Jersey, MiniJersey and ProCyclistPhoto, but there's nothing there. Nor even the subfolder.
I thought you'd put them in the game's directory, ,but I can't find them anywhere.
Is it an oversight or do you plan on adding them in a future update ? |

They are in the main Pro Cycling Manager folder, not in the My Documents.
