Implementing own Database edit

Hey, i'm having problems implementing my own database into the game, i've installed the editor and created my own database, and it seems like no matter what file i put the edited database in, it doesn't show up in the game. So which specific file does ones own created database have to be in, in order to show up as available database when starting a race/career in game? (Ps. Haven't played PCM16 went straight from 15 to this, so wouldn't know how it's done in PCM16 if something about the solution is closely related to that).
