I've been trying to use the PCM Village database amongst others, and it seems that jerseys, photos, races, etc. are working as intended but as you can see on the pic below, the "database" won't light up green, and the names are still unchanged :\
Having the same problem on other databases tho, I guess I'm doing something wrong
hi and thanks for your answer, I've already checked the game files integrity, is this what you're talking about ? sorry, but it's been a very long time I've played PCM and I'm feeling kinda lost on this one
yes unfortunately I did it too, I've bought PCM a couple weeks ago and had a serious OS issue along with this database issue (I tried PCM Village 1.0 at that time if I remember correctly), so I decided to format and reinstall windows to start fresh. So yeah, PCM is the first game I've installed since then (and no, I did not backup my games on steam to speed up things, I've dowloaded it again)

sorry for this double post. I've only tried to install through steam workshop, should I try to install it manually ? If so, where should I install the database ? I've read stuff about a repertory in My Documents, am I right ?
In this case they can't play the 'we don't support unofficial databases' card because it's an odd problem only you have encountered, unrelated to the database.
I uninstalled the game, cleaned up the save folders, workshop folder, etc. and now the database is correctly working ... I just don't get it but anyway, now it works :\
now I have the save folder issue, it's not created in my docs folder, and thus I cannot save anymore ... I've just sent a message to cyanide, hoping they'll help me fix it :\
Hi ! Sorry for not giving any feedback, I was on vacations I contacted Cyanide and they simply told me to create manually the folders that were lacking in My Docs.
Since then, eveything has been working as intended
But I still don't know why the game did not create them ... anyway it's now working, if ever this message can help ppl with the same issue
