Hello and welcome to the Poland for the final National Championships of the MG season. It has been a long wait for the race, so let's hope it was worth it...



A group of 5 riders formed the early break of the day, as Dabrowski, Honkisz (both NNS), Taciak (VAD), defending champion Poljanski (EVO) and Rekita (KAR) attacked up the road.



Wisniowski (GRE) riding for himself set the pace of the peleton, with help from Lejman (CHI) and some of the Netia riders.



The break would be seen as too dangerous, as it pulled back with 25km still remaining of the stage.



20km remaining and we see an attack from Kwiatkowski (KDD), Pierzga (NNS) and Majka (EBU) would try their hand off the front, and it would seem that the peleton was happy to see them go...



Joined by Kamil Zielinski (ALM), Kasperkiewicz (NNS) and Pszczolarski (ALM), it was a dangerous group heading up the road and the lack of organisation behind meant a gap opened very quickly!



5km to go and with a gap of over 2'30", our winner would be coming from this group. Who would make the first move in the bid for glory?



ATTACK PIERZGA! The Netia rider puts in an acceleration with 3km remaining, and with the finish line in sight, he could have enough of a gap to take this...



The sprint is underway, and only Zielinski is able to bridge to the Netia rider. Pierzga is the better sprinter but how much have the attack taken out of him?

Behind, there is a gap to Kwiatkowski with the rest of the break a short distance behind him.



VICTORY ZIELINSKI! The Arrinera rider comes around Pierzga in the last 100 metres to take the National title! Pierzga just holds on for 2nd, whilst Kwiatkowski did enough to take 3rd place.

The rest of the break took 4th-6th place, before Michal Golas (AKM) won the bunch sprint for 7th, +5'15" later.

After a fantastic Road Race, we looked forward to a close and competitive Time Trial. Marcin Bialoblocki (ALM) is the clear favourite, but could the likes of Maciej Bodnar (ALM), Karol Andrzej Domagalski (NNS) or Krzysztof Marchewka (GEN) knock him off his perch?



Wojciech Pszczolarski (ALM) was the early pacesetter on the day, setting the benchmark at 1h20'17" for the bigger names and favourites to beat.



Somewhat of a shock, it would be Michał Kwiatkowski (KDD) who would the first rider to better the time of Pszczolarski, posting a time of 1h19'30".



Kwiatkowski's time on the top spot wouldn't last too long, as Karol Andrzej Domagalski (NNS) would follow him home and instantly beat his time. 1h19'03" would be the new time to beat!



Lukasz Wisniowski (GRE) was expected to go fastest next, but a disappointing ride meant he finished 18" slower than Domagalski and sat provisionally 2nd.



A fantastic ride from Krzysztof Marchewka (GEN) would put him in the hot seat, as he posted a time of 1h18'35". With only two riders left to come in, he would be guaranteed at least a 3rd place today.



Defending champion Maciej Bodnar (ALM) must have hoped for better than this... Yes he takes the fastest time, but he is only 9" quicker than Marchewka on the line.



This man was firm favourite pre-race, and Marcin Bialoblocki (ALM) confirmed he is the best in Poland against the clock. Posted a time of 1h16'41", he would come in 1'45" ahead of teammate Bodnar and nearly 2 minutes faster than Marchewka.
