Hello and welcome to the National Championships for Argentina, Bermuda and Ecuador! A flat route lies ahead, and only really favours one rider in the small 7 man peleton.

Looking at the start list, we have a 3 match ups on the road to decide the title:

Pereyra vs Contreras
Mayho vs Richardson
Navarrete vs Carapaz vs Cuasquer



It would be Pereyra (PEN) and Richardson (AZT) who disappeared up the road early in the stage and if the Nationals are anything to go by, that is usually enough to seal the title.



That left just the Ecuador title to sort out and Cuasquer (HBS) looked to keep the NC jersey on his back but attacking 15km from the finish. With no reaction behind,
I think we have our champions!



Wait... What? Why have the lead group stopped riding? With 5km to go, it is all coming back together. The attack from Cuasquer was enough to cause a response behind and we are back as one with the line approaching...



One man is waiting around for a sprint and that is Richardson, who attacks again and secures the Bermuda NC for the Azteca team.



The sprint to the line is no contest for Emiliano Contreras (WCC) and Segundo Navarrete (HBS) who benefit from their rivals being brought back and the take the Argentine and Ecuadorian titles respectively.

Onto the Time Trial and this was going to be a lot more simpler than the Road Race. We had 3 strong TT riders from each nation, and no real competition in their challenge to the National titles...



After missing out on the Road Race title, Dominique Mayho comfortably won the TT crown ahead of Chequan Richardson. 1'14" was the gap between them, as the Valio rider can now look forward to a fantastic jersey next season.



Champion on the Road and now Segundo Navarrete can be the Double National Champion of Ecuador. He takes the jersey by over 1'12" to Richard Antonio Carapaz and nearly 4 minutes ahead of Klever Cuasquer. It was far too easy really!



Finally we end with Argentina, and Andres Ignacio Pereyra made up for his disappointment in the RR by beating Emiliano Contreras by 5'25". If the Ecuadorian TT was easy for Navarrete, then this was a walk in the park for the Pendletons rider! He could have stopped for a coffee and still won!
