Assigning Contracts with Fast Editor?

Hey

When i'm trying to sign a rider to a new team, i know you have to create a new contract under ''Cyclist Contracts''page and then assign the contract to the rider with the ''IDcontract'' in the ''Cyclist'' page.
This is where the problem arises; I cant actually type in the box, as it is a drop-down-list and the ''ID'' for the newly created contract isn't in the list. What am i doing wrong?

If this has been asked before please just point me in the direction of that thread.

Settings - > Use lists in grid, now input the ID of the contract instead of choosing from the drop down list.
