Any explaination for this? I'm using 1.7.0.1 on new PC - on my old and weak one this didn't happen

Is that a one off or does it happen all the time? Because if the former it just looks like a typical random bug.

It happened on two occasions and that's with changed settings - on my old pc it was fine, dunno why it happened here.
Oh, and the intro videos don't show up

If the video doesn't play I'm 99% sure it's because you miss some drivers/they are outdated. Try updating all the drivers on your pc and report back

If you don't have direct X 9 you should definitely install it indeed

Installed DirectX 9, but still the intros don't show up

In that case you may want to update the drivers of your video card. You can find them on the manufacturers site or with a Google search.

The issue is now fixed - just needed to do other settings
