Keyboard stops responding during races

I keep getting a problem with my keyboard stopping working during races. It's not a problem with the keyboard because i can still use it outside of the game.

Anyone else getting this problem and anyone know a fix for it? it's very annoying, as it takes longer to do everything and also can result in my sprinter getting stuck behind another rider and losing a good position
