I have tried any trick I know of from the previous versions of PCM to make the leaders jersey for races have matching pants, but I can`t for the life of me figure out how it`s done on this version

I know how to change the team jerseys, I know how to make national/WC jerseys with matching pants, but I`m out of ideas for the race leader jerseys. I know this is a minor thing, but it`s really annoying me more than it should.

Any suggestions?

It's a bug that hasn't been fixed yet. You're likely doing everything fine, but it's just that the game doesn't show custom shorts ingame.
