Yep i know it's a much used team but since it's my first serious PCM07 career i wanted Rabobank anyway.
The story rules:
Database: PCM Daily 08 DB
Team: Rabobank
Difficulty: Hard

Thx, the planning took me about two hours to complete though , although there might be some changes later in the season (you never know what will happen with a newbie steering the ship)
January - February Races
According to Hoffman there might be 1 or 2 races dropped from this list, he usually tries to not tire out his riders too soon in the season
BTW, Another important thing is that i'll not be cheating or editing the database or savegame very much. Or let's say as little as possible. For example i WILL edit Menchovs race program cause right now he refuses to ride the Tour De France

Awesome presentation, this should be a good story!
But how come the Down Under Classic race has a hilly profile in your calendar, its completely flat

someone who plans as much as me
I never thought it possible.
Say you won't make unrealistic signings and I might fall in love with you

Thx guys, and no i will try not to do unrealistic signings, goal is at least to keep the talents and leaders and at the end of the year replace some helpers with some young guns, mainly dutch/german/spain nationality. Only thing i wont pay much attention to is finances, already added 20k to the salary cap since without even signing a new rider i already was in the red .
Also will mainly focus on the big races and the races i ride and for the other ones will just post a summary of the Overall to not make it a results dump thread.
So first race, i sended Erik Dekker as DS (aka simmed it ). Also sended only a few riders since they were all in bad shape anyway. Main goal was to get Walker and Hayman some racing rythm to at least play a tiny role in Austalian championships that are coming up.
Riders i've sent:
The rest of the field was quite weak, only three riders really stood out and handed out the podium placings amongst eachother: Kopp(Collstrop), Kemps(Astana) and Bonnet(Credit Agricole)
Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
Stage 4
Stage 5

BTW @Spotingnonse the profile is marked as hilly cause the penultimate stage is marked in PCM as hilly. The way that works is say hypothetically speaking you have 21-stage race with all flat stages except one that is mountainous then the profile will show that it's a mountainous race since in essence climbers would fight for the overall even though it's 95% a flat race. It's actually even a little more complicated cause in PCM there is column specifying what type of race it is(ranging from Norther Classic race to a TTT) BUT only some/the major races have this specified. So for all the other races i've written an own algorithm to try to determine what type of race it is which kinda works like i explained above, 4 flat stage, 1 mountain stage and a TT (or even a prologue) will mark it as a mountainous TT race.

Just to make it complete, my team with stats and teamrole, unfortunatly i can't hide the fitness/fatigue columns. Makes it a bit too wide for my liking, even though you can view the riders current form now.
Stats 8, January 2008
better one

I was talking about the Down Under Classic, the single oneday race that preludes the TDU and is not a part of it.
Anyway, youre making really good use of your save game tool here, but I look forward til the actual playing of races.

Heey damn you're right, i didn't even noticed it and presumed you were talking about the TDU . That's not correct indeed, will add to the list of bugs to investigate this weekend, thanks for noticing )
but I look forward til the actual playing of races.
Met too , the first race i'll be playing though will be Tour of California. I will probably sim most minor races since i wanna speed it up and prolly play more second season. Never got trough more then a month with PCM07 until now ops:.
Anyway here's an update with Australian Championship.
Austalian TT Championships (Only Hayman started)
Quite hilly profile where Evans, McGee and Rogers where the big names that started
Evans nearly did it with a 3rd place only 7" behind suprise winner Luke Roberts ! The new Austalian champ is a known Time Trialing specialist though. Matthew hayman not suprisingly finished all the way down in the classification but has had a nice training ride for the upcoming Tour Down Under.
Rory sutherland did the same thing he did in 2004 with the juniors, William walker finished a respectable 11th place in the race that proved to be too hilly for Hayman.

This is the only time that I have actually liked presentations like these, all the other times it's been done I've never read the stories because I hated the presentation, when using this type of thing, but you make it look great
