I want to just run the Tour de France 3D race with the actual Tour de France 2016 riders for all the teams. I can select the 2016 names for my chosen team but how do I do this for all the other teams as well and save this as a default for later use ? I've downloaded various real name databases so can get the correct names but want to select the 9 Tour de France 2016 members for all the teams |

You would have to first install a realname db obviously and then you would have to fix the startlist for it using an editor if I am not mistaken. I do not know how you do this nowadays since I havent really meddled with this for about 3 years.

Yes, you need a "start list"
The fast editor includes an start list editor |

Thanks. Where do I put the XML startlist file that I create in Fast Editor ? I've just created one but it doesn't seem to be picked up. |

Still can't get this to work. Which cdb file should I be opening in Fast Editor ? I created my own folder (called PW) under Documents > ProCycling Manager 2016 > Mods and copied OfficialRelease.cdb into it from the Default folder and then opened this file in Fast editor. I then created a StartList and saved it in Cloud\StartLists. I think I should be using the cdb file from one of my realnames databases (e..g the PCM Daily expansion) but I can't find any of the cdb files for the real names databases that I've downloaded.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong ? |

The database you should be using to create a startlist has to be the same you use to then actually play the race you've created said startlist for.
The .cdb files for the realname dbs you downloaded can be found in documents\pcm 16\mod\db name

Still can't find the cdb files for the realname databses. My MOD folder contains subfolders 'Default','Database', 'Online' and 'PW' (copy of 'Default' but the only cdb file is OfficialRelease.cdb in the Default folder (and a copy in PW). When I choose a race in PCM I can choose 'Default', 'Database', 'PW', 'PCMDailyExpansionPack_020', 'Pack Vrais Nom - PCM France' and 'Realname DB L'inconnu'. The last 3 are the realname DBs that I downloaded from PCMDaily and Steam Workshop.
Any idea where the cdbs for the last 3 are ? I've tried a global search and not found them but I definitely get the correct names when I run a 3D race. |

The cdb names are always officialrelease.cdb in this version.

I now have the 'PCM Focus Realname DB' installed and created a StartList in Fast Editor. I have a valid XML startlist in my Cloud\Startlists folder but it's still not being picked up when I create a single stage race. Is there a setting somewhere that tells PCM2016 to use a StartList ? |

If the game doesn't pick it up, it means it's not compatible with the database, so either something went wrong with fast editor or you're doing something wrong - less likely since you seem to be sure.

As I can't get the Startlist to work (I've spent most of yesterday trying to do this) is there some way I can edit the rider parameter(s) so that PCM selects the 9 Tour de France 2016 riders rather than its default selection. PCM presumably uses riders parameters to make its default selection of 9 (or maybe not !). It's obviously not a random selection as it always defaults to the same 9 for each team. Maybe I can set the appropriate parameters for the non TDF2016 riders to 0 so that PCM won't select them and just select the 9 that I want ?? |

No, you cannot unrandom the random selection.
The only way is the start list. Have a look in this forum or the PCM focus forum, maybe somebody has already created a start list for that race. |

I noticed that In the Options > Modding screen there is a 'List of Starters' button which allows you to choose starters for every team which sounds like a StartList to me. If you go into this after selecting a Real Names database in 'List of Packs' it shows all the correct riders names and you can build the teams I tried this and pressed Save, then Save Changes on the 'Modding' screen but this selection doesn't get reflected in the team list when you select a team to load the 3D race. So what on earth does this do ? I closed down PCM then restarted and pressed load on the Modding - List of Starters screen but this didn't load the selections either. I'm amazed how difficult it is set up teams for a simple race. 2 days and I've still not got there ! |

That tool only works for the official DB. If you want to use it on modded DBs, you have three options:
1. Use the fast editor, see above
2. Replace the official DB with the modded DB, do the start list, then restore the official DB.
3. Contact Cyanide and tell them to fix the start list function in the game |
