Customized databases in multiplayer?

Hey, is it possible by any chance to use customized databases in multiplayer in PCM16? |

Yeah before you create the race you can select the db you want.
Its not possible for ladder games though.
Well the other players also need to have the same db otherwise they got stange things.
Like no frames or even pink jersey. |

When starting the multiplayer mode, simply change the selected database from default to the one you prefer.

You can't do that, because you don't get asked. And your can't change the DB in the settings menu. |

You're right, it must have been removed in the last patch or something...
At the moment, the only way would be replacing the database you find in mod\default, but then everyone else would need to replace it as well, as far as I know.

I don't guarantee it will work - in fact, most likely it won't - but yeah, that's the only possible way. Make sure you make a backup of the default official release.

There's another option! Go to singleplayer mode, open a stage with the DB you want, then close (you don't need to play it, or to load it either) and open multiplayer. The game will be created with that DB in multiplayer

my friend's game always quits when we try playing a custom DB. He has the same DB loaded and can use it in single race. any idea(s) why? |

argggggggg cant play with other DB..we can see the real names but them crash when we play

I overwrited the DB in the two folders (main directory and mod folder in my documents) and i can play stages, the people can play with my db, but if i create a mini tour( more than 1 stage, when i finished the first stage and want to go to the second, it crash for all... |

So how is customized databases functioning in multiplayer? Seem like people have had some problems. I'm asking cause for the first time in a few years several of my friends might get the game in the same year, but it really depends upon if it works well in multiplayer. Cheers fro any answers |

Currently it's working decently. A patch left that option out as it was too buggy, but the patch that came out yesterday fixed it and custom dbs are now playable again in multi.
