What stats counts when???

Yo peeps.

I think ive asked about this way back, but forgot about it, and cant find the thread.

However, ive been wondering about when what stat actually goes into effect.

Lets say you have the alp'duez stage, then the small stage picture will be a red mountain - but there is also flat places on that stage.

So is the game reacting to the small red mountain icon and makes the whole stage based on the MO stat, or does it actually change throughout the stage on each hill/mountain/flat/downhillll parts ?

E.g. flat = -2% to 2%.
hill = +3% to 5%
mountain = 5% to XX%
downhill = -2.5% to XX%

Hope you guys can help.

Obviously it changes.

Flat is -4% to 4% iirc, hill and mountain are not a fixed percentage but it depends on the value given by the stage editor in the mo/hill ratio. If the mo hill ratio is f.e. 100% mountain, it normally means the uphill section the riders are going to face is about 8 kms+ long, it's mostly a hill up to about 5 kms of length.

Therefore mountains and hill both go from 5% and on up to 25% which is the game limit, and downhills go from -5% down to 25%.
