Crashes & database transfer (PCM11)

Hey.
I've played PCM11 for years on my old computer, however, as all things must, it died, and I had to get a new one. So I did. I've since finished up my own personal update of the database, and thought that I would play the game once I was done.
For some reason though, I cant play it. It crashes all the time. If I press Play->Stage Race or Play->Stage it crashes. If I start a career and get to a point where it has to simulate or start a stage it crashes. Beyond that, it crashes at seemingly random times as well, but it's done so before too. Ive tried running the game in compatibility mode for Vista, didnt work.
I had no problems on my old computer, which was older and had a poorer graphics card than this one.
So my first question is: Have anyone encountered the same problems, or knows a way to deal with it?
Now then, as I mentioned Ive created my own updated database and this is something that Ive spent a lot of time on. So i dont want to just go ahead and buy PCM15 if I cant transfer my 2011 database to that game. Then Ill have to start all over on the database, as I think the default is horrible.
So my second question is this: Is it the same system for editing the database and is it possible to just transfer your database from PCM11 to a later PCM?

It isn't possible to transfer the same database from a game version to another one without converting it. However, conversion is very doable. By the way do those crashes happen when you race with the official db?

Actually, I just tried to race with the default, and no it didn't. Works as a charm. It's somehow my database causing the crashes.
How do you convert it, then?
I started my database on my old computer and then, when it broke down, stored the file on a hard drive and put it onto this computer to load it from the editor and finish it up. Could that have anything to do with why it's not working?
This is an enigma to me.

If you want to go ahead and convert it, you need excel editor. Here's a few tips i gave to a fellow db maker if you are interested https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1114026
Btw, wha did yoy edit in your custom db? The problem is definitely there, i wouldnt give up just yet.

Ive edited everything, made new teams, deleted old ones, new riders, deleted riders who are retired, etc. Ive also used the Fast Editor to edit sponsors, budget and rider popularity. |

What happens with this? I found an issue with ID 4292 and 4301 in dyn_cyclist.

casp - Strange. I just downloaded the .cdb you uploaded and managed to play stage 1 of the TDU with no problems. The only problem being no one had a helmet!
Maybe your graphic settings are too high?
BTW - In GAM_config change the starting year to 2015 rather than 2012. |

Quite strange. I can try lowering the graphics, but I dont think that's the issue as I can race a stage with no problems with the default db.
Very handy with the config, do you mind elaborating how I use it though? Didn't know PCM could do that. |

I'm not sure why would you change it to 2015 but you just need to open the db with fast editor and go in gam_config and change 2011 to 2015.

Well looking at the teams it is clearly supposed to be 2015! Was no trek factory racing etc. back in 2011/2012. 
casp - If the game only crashes when your loading a race, it might be due to your graphic files, located in the c/ drive, if you have added some yourself. There some .tga files might be in wrong format, size etc which can causes crashes. |

In this case it might be worth taking a look at the races table. Will report you back asap
