I want to start an historical db project (year 1991), and I have two questions about changes I want to make for this one :
- I want to have the WT teams automatically invited for all WT races, but they would be forced to participate only to the 3 GT and the 5 big classics. They could refuse to participate to the others races like Paris-Nice or Gent-Wevelgem for instance. Is the column gene_b_ForceProTourInvitation in STA_race is working for this thing ? I mean if I select yes for only these 8 main races, are the WT teams still automatically invited for the other WT races ? I remember this was working like this in olders PCM some years ago...
- I saw a column gene_b_stagiaire in STA_contract_cyclist. I want to add to the 1991 teams the trainees they had in this year for the end of season, only riding from august. Is it possible with this column, or there is an other use? If no I think I could create an ''injury" until august for these trainees, but that's a lot of extra work, that would be more easy with that column, if it works ?
Sorry for my 'french' english
Thanks for your answers
You can change that adding or removing their id from the team startlist in sta_race but that won't make an effect in career mode, only in single.
I rcall testing exactly that, but sadly it makes the stages crash, even in single. I tested that 2 years ago, it may have changed.
I do believe stagiare will work actually. There's shouldn't be anything else you need to do to make it work.
Your English is flawless, at least for a fellow Italian
Ok for the trainees, will use that trick.
For the WT teams calendar, I wonder that because some ''WT teams'' in 1991 had only between 13 and 16 riders, so that would be a problem when there are two WT races at the same date (ex Paris-Nice and Tirreno, or during the Vuelta).
I thought about reducing the GT to 8 riders per team and other races to 6, but that wouldn't be enough I fear in a long PCM season. Other idea would be to change some races category to 1.HC or 2.HC but realism would be over in my mind.
Any suggestions ?
