The first stage takes the riders around a circuit, which begins in Innsbruck and take the short but tough climb to Axams 6 times, two ascents of which are categorised. It finishes with the mountain up to KÃ¼htai. Due to being one of the two summit finishes, this stage is one of the most important for GC, so the big names will likely be up there. The favourites for the stage are the strongest climbers, especially pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/bon.png

Contador will be looking for some time gaps over somewhat stronger time trialists.
