Hey there,
yesterday, as I played PCM 2015, my PC crashed. The reason for this isn't that important I guess. It was comparable to a shutdown and I hadn't the time to save anything.
After restarting my computer and opening the Pro Cycling Manager again, I couldn't find my savegame anymore. In the field "Load latest save" the name of the file is still shown - but when I click on it nothing happens. I then chose "Load game" but it wasn't even mentioned there.
So, I tried different things:
- Replace the .cdb-file with an weekly save
- Changed the .cdb~-file to .cdb-extension and replaced the .cdb-file
- Deleted all files for this savegame to let Steam recreate those
Nothing helped, so I'm asking you now I want YOU to solve my problem!
But to become serious again; I recognised that the .cdb-file was empty (no tables or anything else in the editor). Nevertheless, it has a size of roundabout 1250kb. The weekly saves were full of information.
I hope that somebody can help as I spent little time on this game
I have had my computer shut down while playing a different game and had my save completely disappear, I think it just happens if you're computer shuts down in the middle or a PC game, the file gets corrupted and removed. If this is right, then unfortunately your save is lost
The only chance is that I think it's possible to reset a computer to the status of a previous real-life date, although I don't understand at all how that works so don't base it off my advice,
Otherwise I think he best thing to do is to start a new career and make sure you copy a weekly save into another folder every now and again.

Thanks alot trekbmc. But I don't think that the weekly saves are effected by crashes. However, I feel sorry that you had the same issue
Yeah, I don't know about that good luck finding a solution.
Don't worry about me though, a long time ago on a different game
