We now know who the man to beat is. Well will he be beaten today? Becherovka - Petrof looked very strong yesterday.

Yes, we are not in Kansas anymore, that is rain in Qatar. The unexpected weather really put the cat amongst the pigeons early on. Many teams thought they could take advantage of the adverse weather. An 18 man break had a 1'00 advantage for the early third of the stage.

10 KM later, though, a four man break did establish. The break:

With 33 KM to go the break are well and truly under control. 3 riders go down, of which pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ozc.png Li is the biggest name. They would not make it back to the peloton today.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/bac.png Hansen leads the race going deep into the last 10 KM, the last of the break. However, he would not hang on to a solo win. Valiant, nevertheless.

A bit further back we can see pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ozc.png Goss and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/micro/ven.png Van Stayen, his lead-out costs him vital positions for the second straight stage, giving all they can. But, be under no illusions only four riders are in the contest for this one.
