Van Stayen with another big boost to take him from PCT race winning level to PT race winning level. Gesink and Tenorio's training makes this season's Vuelta something to really look forward to also.
Training Van Stayen like this should be banned. I think training cots need more tweaking for next year, because how on earth can promoting team afford training this beast to 83 sprint. He is now easily the best sprinter in the game for sure.
Tenorio and Gesink go trained for Vuelta.

I don't agree with you. He isn't in the top 3 of sprinters imo. He is clearly a top top rider, but I think that there are sprinters that should beat him in a classic sprint 8/10 times:
Ben Swift 84SPR / 82ACC
Sam Bewley 83SPR / 83ACC
John Degenkolb 83SPR / 81ACC
The acceleration stat might not be as important as it was last season, but 76FL is still nothing special considering other sprinters are also in the region of 74-78. His endurance and resistance is nothing spectacular and his recuperation is good but still worse than riders like Swift and Bewley.
His 77ACC stat makes me think of a rider I had. He was also 83SPR, and while he did well from time to time, he wasn't a dominant PT sprinter, by any means.
The 76HI stat will help him in some races, sure. But looking at the PT calendar I really don't think it will help him all that much compared to those with 70-72. He will be a favorite in Milano San Remo, but will he necessarily be the big favorite in Lisbon, Moscow or Praha? I don't think so. I would still bet my money on Sam Bewley in these races with Ben Swift as 2nd best.
So what can the 76HI stat do? Can he win Tasmania? Nope. Can he win TONE? Nope. Can he win Deutschland Tour? I doubt it. Can he win Vuelta al Pais Vasco? Doubtful. Paris-Nice? Nah... Can he win the hard one day classics like Liege - Bastogne - Liege? Absolutely not.
So what is the problem? We have another super sprinter. Big deal. He's nothing next to riders such as Yuri Trofimov, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Simon Spilak, Sam Bewley and Taylor Phinney.
1) Spilak at festina means he is guarenteed to crash once. So that excludes him from top rider list.
2) Maksimov, Lo Cicero, Mohs, Howard and certain former festina rider at least are great sprinters to add to that list. Sprinters who double up as great hill climbers do not really score as well in PT. mountain and hill stages are just harder. Of course Mvs has a chance in Germany tour.
Have venchi got the lead out for him, and more importantly have they anyone else on their roster who is any good. Denifl and tenorio up to 84 MO is packing the stage race bastards that is going to be a bloodbath!

Indeed. Spilak will fuck up massively by crashing in atleast 3 races, just like Riccardo Ricco did last season, or Vadim Ratiy, or Fothen a couple of seasons back, or and so on...
Indeed, there are a lot of top sprinters, hence my conclusion that he isn't really that overpowered. I would be extremely surprised if van Stayen ended up surviving the three hilly stages. There must surely be some strong hilly riders in that race that will make the race hard, and also it invites to breakaways imo. Add to that that Van Stayen clearly won't win all the flat stages and I would be surprised to see him any higher than 5th at the very best.
The GC rider madness is just crazy. We need some of those 83-85 MO guys to retire really. So Spilak can beast around !
It could be due to the document suite you guys are using. With Excel everything looks completely fine because of the compatibility, while any other suite will struggle to support properly every detail of the db. Normally they won't run the macros at all. In my case, trying with LibreOffice Calc the program can't even open the db.
