Introduction:
RBC is into it's 3rd year of sponsorship of the team after it's co-sponsorship of Alstom-RBC and full sponsorship for last season.
RBC mission statement for the team has always been to improve the global reach of cycling in Canada showcased by a 50% plus Canadian team last year, this satisfied the sponsors very much though the results did not, poor showings in the Canadian races plus a no show at the Tour of Vancouver led to some harsh dealings in the Boardroom this off-season with the message obvious.
1. Win more races.
2. Make the ProTour
3. Race all Canadian Races Available
Simple enough then I guess.

Team Standings | Top 5 | | Manx International | Win | | Post Denamark Rundt | Win | | Classic San Sebastian | Top 5 | | Monterry TTT | Win | |
So the sponsor were not happy last season and told us we were picking the hardest goals to be submitted to the MGUCI in order to gain dispensation to spend a bit more money in the transfer window.
Obviously at first Manx International and Classic San Sebastian are aimed at Johnathon Bellis who is likely to continue as our leader for the season he could be helped by returning legend David Boily in these races to try and ensure our best possible chance in all these races.
The PCT standings goal is obvious for us the ultimatum of get promotion means there is no option other then to choose this goal it is not going to be easy at all and is probably the hardest goal there but we will try.
Next the weird ones Denmark Rundt just kinda suits Vanderbiest so it was decided we might as well give him a goal to aim for if he is sold as is under question at the moment then a strong Time Trialist will be brought in for this particular goal.
Next Monterry TTT we just really love this race it's in North America and we haven't finished out of the top 6 there in two years so it's well worth a go at winning it.

With Vanderbiest's wage dropping further than I expected, he's definitely of great interest to us. And I remember you were interested in a fair few of our riders... |

In
Johann Van Zyl -----------> 100,000 50k Wage (From Kenya Airways)
Florian Morizot -----------> Swap 80k Wage (From Huawei - Red Bull)
Kai Reus -----------> Swap 300k Wage (From Ayubowan!)
Rene Mandri -----------> Swap 75,000 Wage (From Ayubowan!)
Sander Armee -----------> Loan 60,000 Wage (From Quickstep)
Michael Boros -----------> Loan 50,000 Wage (From Becherovka)
Nathan Brown -----------> Free Agent 50,000 Wage
Out
Romain Vanderbiest -----------> Swap (To Ayubowan!)
Christopher De Souza -----------> Swap (To Ayubowan!)
Mitch Docker -----------> 600k(To Risa-Ergon)
Ryan Roth -----------> Free (To Gatorade)
Peter Pancake -----------> Free (TO Gatorade)
Sebastian Salas -----------> Free (To Minions)
Guillhaume Boivin -----------> Loan (To Becherovka)
Hugo Houle -----------> Loan (To Quickstep)
Lawrence Warbasse -----------> 850k (To US Postal)
So lots of action already the big move by the management team will to get rid of all Canadians "Not useful to providing results at a PCT Level or with adequate potential to reach that level in the future." This was then supplemented by the loss of Warbasse and Docker to cash deals we feel were at the market value and could be re-invested into the team. The team then made the swaps of Christopher De Souza and Romain Vanderbiest to bring in more Veterans and experienced leaders and sub leaders for the team. Along with Boivin and Houle going on loan to max out.
On the In's Johann Van Zyl was a cheap rider who will improve and become a better rider on this team.
Florian Morizot was IMO a better Durasek who we swapped him with marginally but still better so he has come in.
Kai Reus comes in to make his mark in the TT he also is able to get over hills and mountains really well and will now become the driving force behind two of our goals at Denmark Rundt and Monterry.
Rene Mandri comes in as a breakaway specialist with top accelaration in a swap for De Souza who will become better but I felt I needed a here and now option and Mandri is that.
Sander Armee comes in with the Houle loan deal gives us another rider capable in the breaks and riding hard on the cobbles and on the front of the bunch
Michael Boros Michael is in in a swap for the Boivin deal he will in all likelihood lead the team in the cobbled classics this year and with his high hill and cobbled 70+ in both becomes our 4 rider in that category.
Nathan Brown Nathan comes in on minimum wage and managed to escape the attention of all other American teams despite his great all round stats for a stage racer we are excited to have him on the team for the year.

To comment on Brown, he rode for me last year (with mixed results), but he might be a bit more useful after he upgraded. For 50,000. I consider him a good deal

Thanks Marco I feel he will develop into the perfect PT TT rider with the help he will give in the mountains as well as his TT skills

I'm really looking forward to him I had my eye on him all transfer just thought he would go for a bit more so snapped him up that cheaply can never have enough 50k riders that are useful too.

Boros should be cool as part of the 4 cobbled/hill riders hopefully they can sneak some top 20's And yeah but Reus and Mandri will hopefully make a few good results this year |

@the_hoyle well we have strengthen depth wise but probably not leader wise we started with Boily and Bellis anyway though so hopefully they can perform
In
Rick Flens -----------> 300k (From Bpost)
Out
Marc Machado -----------> 550k (To Buff-Polska)
Patrick Lane -----------> 100k (To Vontonbel)
2 more out's to report the Cobbled expert Marc Machado leves the team after one season and head for the Buff-Polska squad and Patrick Lane also leaves to Vontonbel to continue his devlopment.
In is Rick Flens the tough Dutchman adds TT strength as well as an ability to ride on the flat and will no doubt be useful at our goals of Monterry and Denmark Rundt
