The Rider Renewals will be starting soon for the 2015 season for all continuing teams who were in the game in 2014.
For each of your riders you will receive a wage request, and it is then up to you to negotiate with them to reach as low a wage as possible. Riders can usually be negotiated with on their requested wage, although the difference between their minimum acceptable wage and their request does vary quite a lot from rider to rider.
As soon as you offer a rider an amount they are happy with, they will accept - this is committed to being their wage for the 2015 season, you cannot attempt to negotiate any further with them. There are 3 Rounds for renewals, and if a rider has not accepted your offers after 3 rounds then he will became a free agent.
If you want to release a rider, give them an offer of 0 in the first round.
The minimum wage is 50,000. If you are initially unsure whethere you want to release or renew a rider, you should offer them a value above 0 and less than 50,000 in the first round to keep your options open.
It is possible to go over your salary cap at the end of Renewals, but doing so will lead to a fine of double that amount. For example, if you go over your salary cap by 100k then you will receive a fine of 200k.
There is no limit on the amount of riders you renew - it does not have to meet the same minimum/maximum requirements that are needed for the end of the Transfer season itself.
Changes
Now, this year Renewals is going to be a little bit harder than it has been in the past. The riders have all noticed that those on the free agency tend to receive a higher wage. Many have therefore decided to ask for more money this year.
One big change is that riders will not react well at all if they feel your initial offer is too low. They will be insulted by your offer and will no longer be willing to negotiate. There are two options at this stage: either pay them exactly what they have requested, or release them to the free agency.
Another added difficulty to renewals this year is that riders are no longer providing feedback on how close your offer was to being accepted. Previously they would say if you were 'Close', 'Average' or 'Way Off' but they won't do that any more.
Process
I'm currently fine-tuning the Renewals file, but it should be ready in the next day or so.
From my SN-ManGame account, I will send a PM to you when your first Renewals file is ready. This PM will also contain your overall budget for the season.
You will be able to find the Renewals file inside the shared Dropbox folder for your team. When you have filled in your first round offers you should save it in there as well, and respond to the initial PM to say the offers are in. The process will repeat from there.
The Renewals file is being compiled without rider data for Vesuvio or Eritel. I will send those details to a reporter once they have done their renewals, and they will organise the renewals of my teams for me.
New CT teams will be PMed their team budget at a later point.

Looking forward to this
Lots of very interesting changes which should make this tough for even the most experienced managers! Should be a real challenge, especially without indications. Could potentially lead to some more interesting riders going to the free agency as well. |

Though It's not applying to me, then it seemed like a good system
Excited to see the budget ratio and should give an idea of a max price for each targeted rider

Both the most eagaerly awaited and most feared part for me. Especially since I have a few riders that I really want to cut significantly in wages as a result of their performance last season.

I have to recommend Dropbox to people! It makes many many off-season things much easier for both sides to have one shared with SN. Plus you can use it for other non-MG things as well. Super simple to set-up, super easy to use and it's free and just a great thing to do!

A new challenge, as long as I manage to keep Zepuntke/Flügel/Zabel I wont complain (that much).
Really hope we will see atleast 1 big name going to free agency

Ouch this is going to make renewals very exciting. Going to be a very difficult one for those expecting to reduce an overpaid on free agency rider last year ... God knows what a certain Vebezualan will want

I think almost all teams did have a shared folder set up last season - only a couple do not.
I will be looking to set up a folder with all new teams at some point before the end of transfers too. (Any new teams reading this should check the pinned thread https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=33222)

Last year most of my team accepted their first round offers and renewals were finished by the end of the second round. Still, I'm a bit scared of this new system and the possibility of losing some of my riders.

No. Indications. At. All.
Wow.
One step too far into the unpredictability direction if you ask me, but okay, it's the same for everyone.
The thing is...even if this releases some riders to FA that shouldn't have been there...how in the world should I sign them if I use up more cap space than I ever planned for because I panic-accepted everything???

Argh. This will be even more difficult as I expected.
I like how the implementation of not negotiating anymore was done without the immediate risk to lose a rider in round 1 !
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I'm scared
What is desired wage based on, results, stats, anything else?

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Nervous times ahead, especially with these new changes now. I can think of one rider last year, I probably wouldn't have re-signed without the help of those hints.
