Calendar
The full 2015 calendar can now be revealed, with this Excel file listing all races and a month by month calendar list: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a59t8nw7lna....xlsx?dl=0
You can find the race profiles in the 2015 profiles forum: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewforum.p...rum_id=210
Races are listed in chronological order, and include details on race clashes and previous race winner. Thanks to the various people who helped to prepare this forum.
Goals
Team Goals form a vital part of each team's season. In the short term, how hard goals you pick will determine your final budget - but in the longer term, how well you achieve those goals in the season will have a significant effect on your budget for the following season.
Going for harder goals could reward you greatly if you achieve them, but will punish you if you fail them. Easier goals will be less punishing if you dont achieve them, but they are in turn less rewarding aswell.
For new CT teams, it obviously isnt easy to pick goals without knowing what your team will be - so now is the time to decide which races you want to focus on, and you can then target riders in the transfers season appropriately.
Each type of goal has a cost, and every team must select 5 goals. The total goal cost must be between 14 and 23. There are also certain constraints on what type of goal you can select.
ProTour
All teams must have at least 1 Grand Tour goal
All teams must have at least 1 'Win' Goal - This means winning a classic or Stage Race outright (Including GTs and Monuments)
All teams must have a Team Standings Goal (This includes avoiding relegation)
No more than 1 goal per race
No more than 1 Points/KoM Goal
ProContinental
Continental
ProContinental and Continental teams have the same goals rules to follow:
All teams must have at least 1 'Win' Goal - This means winning a classic or Stage Race outright
All teams must have at least 1 HC goal (HC for PCT, C2HC for CT)
All teams have a Team Standings Goal
No more than 1 goal per race
No more than 1 Points/KoM Goal
And please note: The stage wins goals means stage wins. Overall race victories - be it a stage race or one day race - do not count. Stages wins during PT races for PCT teams do not count either.
Race Flexibility
For one of your goals, you can select 2 races (of the same category) rather than 1. For example: "Top 10, Tour de Suisse or Tour of Qatar". At the end of the transfer season, you must then choose which of these two races you want to keep in your goal.
Submitting your Goals
ProTour teams: PM them to ggDonovan
ProContinental teams: PM them to jph27
Continental teams: PM them to CountArach

Just to make this 100% clear for everyone, the "race flexibility" exemption doesn't cost us one goal point like it did last year anymore?

So just to clarify, with the new race flexibility rule there isn't a cost like last year? Adds another element to goals I guess. Already said how great the calendar looks, fantastic work SN. |

Correct. Nobody used it last year with the one point deduction so I decided to take the deduction away.

A quick question: last year, the database was released before this thread was created.
Can we thus expect it in the near future?

Cool.
I have a question. How is it with race flexibility concerning GTs? Can i select top 3 at Tour or Giro for example, since it gives different points? I suppose i cant, but is it possible with top10 in one GT or another since it gives 3 points each?
Not that i am actually planning to set win at Tour with hardly any clue about my future team.

I also have a query to help with making goal selections - have the number of race days been announced yet (for PCT in my case)? I would like to try and plan my whole calendar, then select goals from that if at all possible.
Thanks.

Time to go conservative after (I think) missing on everything last season

I missed all of mine last year (and wasn't even close with most of them), but I'm going all-or-nothing again this year
It really feels like the season is getting close now that we are doing this. I am getting excited!

"you can select 2 races (of the same category)"
I am almost certain that means that you can't. It wouldn't be possible anyway given that your initial selection decides your budget so you can't really change something like that after the transfer season.

On the other hand I think (and hope as I did it) select the Giro OR VUelta ;-)

Giro and Vuelta are the same category. TdF is separate, so can't be part of a flexible goal.
Race days for PCT/CT will only be confirmed when the C1/C2 race choice file is released.
It is likely to be between 130 and 140 for PCT, and between 110 and 120 for CT.
DB hopefully out in the next week.

Are there no regional rankings anymore?
I planned to focus on Asia Tour rather than the overall rankings next season.. |

They'll still be calculated, but are no longer available for goals.
The reduced calendar size meant that there was not enough space to ensure sufficient races in Africa, America or Asia for the goals to be worth including.

Super noob question: Conti Teams can only race C2HC and C2 races?

Nope. You can ride C1 races as well, you just can't set goals for those races.

I doubt CT teams will race HC-races this year with PT-teams participating
