2015 shirt revealed
Like always, another year means another shirt. The colors set and the main sponsors will be the same as last year but the design of the shirt is quite drastically changed. A major change is that Adidas are now our clothing sponsor, the first time we have a clothing sponsor since Jack Wolfskin have left the team at the end of the 2012 season.
One thing that has changed though is the designer of the jersey. For the fifth year in a row, Will007 is the official jersey designer for our team and we would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his great work.
Since it's very unlikely that our current national champions, Robert Gesink, George Stancu and Andre Nechita, will leave the team, their shirt designs will also be revealed with the main jersey.
And now let's have a look at the jerseys:

It reminds me more of Lotto-Soudal's jersey. Beautiful one, I'm always a fan of your team's kit
Perhaps a season to attack the PT's top10? Even top5?

Last year was my worst ManGame season in terms of HQ posts (I think it was my worst season in terms of anything, actually), so I decided to make a comeback this year and try to come up with some new things. One of those things will be “Manager’s corner” where from time to time I’ll ramble about stuff regarding the ManGame or just take a trip down on memory lane to review some of the most memorable moments that I’ve experience with the game.
Since this is the first post in this section, I figured I should start with a few memories from the very first moments after joining the game. Back in the 2010 season (the actual year was 2008) new managers were chosen based on their activity on the site and not on an application. At time, I was writing a Columbia story on the site and was involved in a few others activities as well, so getting in seemed like a good bet. Still, you can never be sure. But, when the new managers’ list was made public I was one of “the chosen ones”.
2010 was the first season when new manager would not take over a team that no longer had a manager, but instead started with a new team from scratch in the Continental Tour (also at that point there was only one Continental division). So, after seeing that I got in, I immediately went and opened a thread for my team presenting a pretty bad jersey (made by myself, too proud to ask someone to design one for MY team) with Jack Wolfskin and ING as sponsors.
I thought Jack Wolfskin was a really good idea for a main sponsor (even though it wasn’t 100% mine), but since I was a huge Rabobank fan I also needed a Dutch sponsor so my Dutch team can look legit. And so I went with ING.
And opening the thread as soon as I could proved to be a crucial moment and perhaps changed the “life” of two other teams. Mb also wanted to have ING as a sponsor at first but decided to drop it after seeing I already took it and went for Santander instead and his army of Spanish GT monsters. ING would also make a comeback later as a sponsor of a recently disbanded team.
Well, that’s pretty much what I remember from my first day as a member of the ManGame. In future posts I’ll try to cover my first transfer season and the silly planning mistakes that I like to think cost me the CT title.

So, the first big step of the off season is here. Picking goals. New managers would say that it's a whole lot easier for established teams to pick theirs. Especially for a team that has been in the same division for some time now. Well, it's not. Not when your riders love the tarmac as much as my riders do.
Last year did not go well for me in terms of goals. Then again, I got a little bit carried away with Gesink's win in the Basque Country and Germany from 2 years ago. Not only that I thought he will be able to defend those title but I also added a Catalunya win in the mix. You know, for the heck of it.
I was very close to achieve none of my goals last season, but Henao saved my Tour de France with a fantastic display against Andy Schleck on the mythical Alpe d'Huez (a climb which seems to really suit my team since Ruben Plaza also has a win there, but in Dauphine Libere). Not only that Henao achieved a goal that day, but he also managed to kick Schleck's ass which is a huge satisfaction for me even though it's just the ManGame version of that little prick.
MRW I'm about to pick my goals
This year I'm gonna go with some more down to Earth goals. Still, looking at my list I don't see a single goal that I can say: "That one. There's no way we're going to miss that one".
And then I look again at the list, especially at one goal and think what the hell was I thinking. Not in my sweetest dreams do I think I can actually achieve that goal, my hardest goal in a Grand Tour to date. But, I had to pick it, I had. One of my riders likes the route too much not to be in the mood for a little gamble. Hopefully this little gamble won't back fire too much.
probably me after failing my goals one by one

2015 Goals
Goal: | Win | Race: | Vuelta al Pais Vasco | Designed for: | Robert Gesink |
Probably the most successful race in our team's history, with two general classification wins and 5 stage wins, all brought by the same guy - Robert Gesink.
After winning in 2012 and 2013, this was a huge goal for Robert last year, but sadly he only managed a 6th place in the general classification. Hopefully, this time he will be able to revenge last year's disappointments.
The race seems somehow softer than in previous editions, which means that the final time - trial could be even more crucial that usual, which is, of course, good news for Gesink who won the time - trial stage in the last three years.

2015 Goals
Goal: | Top 3 | Race: | Vuelta a Espana | Designed for: | Robert Gesink |
Probably our favorite Grand Tour. Either this one or the Tour de France. But with a 4th place in the general classification in 2011 and at least one stage victory per year, La Vuelta has to take home the bacon.
Following a fantastic display in 2011, with a fourth place overall (only 7 seconds away from the podium!) by Ruben Plaza, our GC performances fade away over the years, with Plaza and Luis Leon Sanchez failing to break into the top 10 in 2012 and 2013. Last year we made a comeback though as Henao became our first rider to finish in the top 10 of a Grand Tour since Robert Gesink in the 2011 Tour de France.
Speaking of Robert, he will be aiming to top Henao's performance from last year in the Spanish Grand Tour as he will be going for the podium. Even though it won't be an easy task at all, the hard and lengthy time - trials in this year's edition should help him gain important time over his rivals. The provisional squad also contains Brambilla, Posthuma, Castroviejo and Ruijgh who are ready to give everything they've got to help Gesink achieve our team's first GT podium ever!
Team's history in the race

Rob Ruijgh celebrating the win of his career
The 1t4i riders were a huge feature in last year's breakaways. Here he have Jonathan Castroviejo leading the escapees of the 14th stage
Posthuma powered through the opening time - trial in 2013
A performance which put him in the leader's jersey at the end of the day
Luis Leon Sanchez also had a good opening ride. The only rider faster than his was Posthuma
Vanendert was very close to make it two in a row for the team in 2013, but he was caught in the closing kilometers of the stage
Cornu, Posthuma, Plaza, Donald, De Kort, Vaugrenard, Vandewalle and Rosseler on their way to win our first and only team time - trial in La Vuelta
It was a magical race for Posthuma who also achieved an individual win. He made a bold of leaving the other escapees with more than 17 kilometers left from the stage!
It was a bold move but it paid off for the multiple Dutch champion
After failing to win the prologue, the Jack Wolfskin riders took their revenge in the next time - trial, where no one could Dominique Cornu from taking the stage win
And even if someone would have, that would have been Ruben Plaza, who finished second, just behind the Belgian champion
The time - trials played in Plaza's favor that year as he almost grabbed a place on the general classification podium in the final time - trial, while taking the stage win
